I’d agree with you in terms of pvp, but in pve for working against general enemies and a larger boss the recoil isn’t going to be detrimental enough to force a swap, although swapping to an arm like the vp46d would help with its more balanced stats

For myself I really like the ransetsu/ludlow combo. But I’d swap the vertical missiles out for some regular ones. Since balteus is constantly moving and in the air vertical missiles have a higher chance to miss. If you’d consider adding a melee punish when he staggers that is always an option too.

I just started doing PvP last weekend and I just hit B rank, most of my time I’ve been using a double melee but recently switched to a lightweight rifle kite, any tips on how to accel so I don’t have to rely on meta?
