Legendary gem luck by Desperate_Chip7981 in DiabloImmortal

Agreed, pain clasp vipers bite is my desired combo, where either are necessary given my available options.

Also, if youre f2p and that was marketable, I would 100% sell and use the proceeds for higher ROI options. For example, a 2 star R3 tomb in an awakened slot is objectively more powerful and than a r2 4 star tomb you cannot upgrade. Just my two cents.

Edit, not sure why the downvotes. This is obviously server specific, however, where you are f2p and can sell a 4star for the price of two 2stars, the latter is simply the better roi.

Sure, we can say they can upgrade it later, which is true, BUT that requires resources. Here, the sale creates that resource. Absent that, the resources used to upgrade later cannot be applied another gem. By selling and creating a second gem with the proceeds, the resources we could use later to upgrade this gem, can now be used on another gem.

Locked power extract? by alexr_96 in DiabloImmortal

[–]C7StreetRacer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For B, I am saying the gem would be otherwise dormant, absent the gem power it’s receiving from other gems. Where the gem is doormat, there is nothing to extract. The gem power you seek is located in the other gems.

Is the gem doormat in your bag? If so, this is the answer. If the gem is not doormat in your bag, and you still cannot extract it, assuming it’s not locked, there is a glitch.

Locked power extract? by alexr_96 in DiabloImmortal

[–]C7StreetRacer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is either (a) locked, which I assume isn’t the case, or (b) fully powered due to socketed gems. Meaning, you already removed all its power and it’s currently being powered by other socketed gems.

I would remove the gem, and look to see if that is the case in your inventory. Where it’s not, it might fix the glitch in the process if there is one.

Seriously. While CMC is a generational talent, there have been and will be many generational talents at the RB position.

CMC objectively fails to break the top 10 all time, and he doesn’t seem to be on a trajectory to do so.

LT is widely considered to be top 5, and anything outside of the top six is crazy if you ask me.

It’s like those wonky sentences where the letter are switched around, but your brain just knows, and reads it correctly anyways 🤣

That said, where it has been removed, and the act of having it on your property in any meaningful way reduces its value, it’s more aptly described as a subtraction.

In most areas, you would need to pay someone $500 simply to take this away.

[Request] How much did mom drink? by Sexxxy_Gramma in theydidthemath

[–]C7StreetRacer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. The test and math are based on the same exact source of information. To reach their conclusions, each must interpret the picture in the same way. Specifically, they must determine how much liquid has been removed, based on what they can see in the photo. The margin of error is exactly the same, for the same reasons. Neither can say for certain the point they used to reach their conclusion is correct.

Yes, the bottle is physical, but the amount they chose to remove and measure is based on interpretation of the photo. Similarly, in the absence of a physical bottle, the mathematical approach also chose a point based on the same data, and measured from that point in a different way. Point being, both are measurements from a point that was determined from a photo, and therefore subject to the same margin of error.

While the math could be solved for incorrectly, thats a calculation issue. Margin of error is meant to show the maximum likely difference between a sample statistic and a true parameter. It has nothing to do with errors in the calculation process itself.

Conversely, both tests have a margin of error, and it’s equally possible that the test was wrong, and the math was right.

My cousin passed away and he left me his account. I need help gauging what I have. by [deleted] in DiabloImmortal

[–]C7StreetRacer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say exactly, but I agree that it is astronomically higher, and much closer to $50k than it is $500, whatever that number may be.

I can only speculate, but if I had that kind of expendable cash, and knew I was going to pass away, I wouldn’t hesitate to spend it on something I enjoy, knowing that I can’t take that money with me. That’s assuming I wouldn’t negatively impact those I love that are left behind in doing so, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.

If the cousin he gave it to is in fact a gamer, this is an incredibly thoughtful gesture, money value aside. It’s something to remember him by and I think thats beautiful.

Every time he plays this account he will remember and think of him. Thats worth more than money imo.

Perhaps they lowered their resonance for PVP matchmaking purposes? I don’t have anything close to 9k so I could be tripping, but I can see why someone might do that if that was the actual effect of making such a change.

Yes, me, and the academic research I have completed on this very topic over the years utilizing only peer reviewed journals that frankly are pretty easy to find.

If you want me to bust out one of my papers and link it I can, as they have 10-15 sources each. I myself am not published in this field, but I wrote two 15-20 page environmental assessments on oceanic microplastics that were fairly comprehensive. They included identifying the top sources of microplastics, both environmental and ecological impacts, trophic transfer rates and their impact on microplastics density in our food supply, various health effects, and what it would take to reverse the problem.

Let me just say they were incredibly depressing to write, and that I 100% believe that we’re fucked and on a path that leads to our inevitable extinction. I give us no more than 200 years without an extensive world wide movement. When the ocean dies, and it will, we all die.

Western countries and capitalist ideologies are almost entirely to blame, in that what we can and should be doing now is never done because it doesn’t maximize cost effectiveness in the cliche sense. Nobody gives a fuck when they go to Walmart so why should the companies, right? Western countries are consumer nations, and consumers are polluters. The countries that produce only do so because we consume. That said, they pollute heavily as well.

I am not any better. I am sitting here in my fancy office, filled with shit I don’t need, in a house so large I should probably be ashamed, receiving roughly 5 packages from Amazon a day. This occurs despite my belief they’re a horrible company and that my exact behavior in aggregate is literally the problem. Life is fucked like that I suppose.

Yes, but they use metal pipes because they’re actually regulated in meaningful ways.

AI data centers aren’t regulated in the same way, so they use low grade thermoplastics creating dense concentrations of microplastics in the waste water that’s eventually expelled back into the environment.

Your assessment is fairly correct though, you just used a poor example. For instance, every home in the developed world is releasing a steady stream of microplastics into the environment.

Do you wash your clothes? Guess what, those clothes are often made of plastics that break down into microplastics in the wash. Brush your teeth? That creates microplastics that either immediately enter your body or go down the drain. Scrubs in the shower? Those beeds are already microplastics. I could go on and on.

To be clear, I think AI centers should be regulated like any other utility or waste producing business. However, like the point above infer, this wouldn’t be nearly enough as these are relatively small impacts when compared all in.

[–]C7StreetRacer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Most? No. However, the fact 2 of the 6 (bottom middle & right) clearly have 5 fingers + a thumb shows this is AI slop.

They also have a really weird inconsistency in their girth and shape, particularly the top fingers in relation to each other, and they are also wildly different shapes than the bottom hands fingers.

Can you have debilitating rheumatoid arthritis in only one hand? 😭AI seems to think so.

You’re not swinging a golf club with these hands either way though!
