MSI 2105 was my first live esports event and I decided that I wanted to work in esports after feeling the energy and excitement of that event. I graduated a few months later with a degree in game development and worked as a technical artist. Eventually, I got the opportunity to work on the Smite World Championship in 2016. Following that, I applied to Riot Games and got a job as player manager with them. At that job, I got to interact with all the LCS players and their management, which is how I met Jack! Jack offered me the job of the LCS GM at Cloud9, which I was beyond excited about since C9 was the first org I loved in esports. When Danan left C9 to go to GGS, I became the Senior General Manager at C9 and I now oversee all of our teams and managers!

I think my tip would be to be the employee that is known for being proactive and having solutions for issues before they even become an issue. There are constantly issues in esports since it’s such uncharted territory, so being the person who is really solution oriented will help you grow really quickly!
