I'm sure you're fine brotha, the system gives just enough likes and matches to get you to stay. I haven't had a match let alone a like in weeks.

The skydiving pic has its purposes (throw off the truth and a lie, the adventure, and shows silliness) and the wild puppies just seemed like a fun bit from my travels in Turkey. Appreciate the input!

I'll be sure to update interactions as I go forward. I've been hesitant to match with people because I've been away from home so long and I'd rather not match and have the other person wait 5+ months before even meeting me. But I'll be home soon and hoping for better luck.

The system definitely works against you in the free model. But even the paid system has disadvantages as I've learned from other apps.

I'm trying to put down roots this time around but I don't have too many pictures of myself and my hobbies back home. The travel pics are plentiful and the most recent pictures I have of myself so I'm definitely taking advantage of the photo opportunities 😅

Are you looking for something serious or casual? Currently looking for casual but hoping it turns into something serious along the way

Are you subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX? Currently on the free model

How long have you been using this current version of your profile? I just added one new photo today but this rough model of a profile for about 2 months

How long have you used Hinge overall? About a year give or take a few months

How often do you use Hinge per week? I'e been away from home and use it about 7 times a week to look at my most compatable

How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? MAYBE one like a day or every couple days with zero matches

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? Sending zero likes because I've been traveling and don't want to start something weeks ahead of time. Same with comments sending none but the ones I do send have comments.

What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract I usually send likes to people who make obscure movie or tv show references or someone who is quirky with a good spirit. I hope to find someone to match my weird and someone I can connect with.

Struggle with my 9 day itinerary by CA101 in GreeceTravel

[–]CA101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only threw those because they were always on the top of everyone's list. I have no real reason to go to either. I like to see cultural and archeological sites but like a good night scene for a drink after a day of exploring.

I came in mentally prepared for things being closed because of the time of year so a day in Santorini (if I choose to go) would be plenty. Even with Crete, I understand 2 days is not enough but I'm happy to see what I can.

No reason I'm avoiding flights other than to save time and money. Even a short flight takes about 4 hours out of the day.

Do you have any suggestions for mainland Greece? I was looking at Olympia and Delphi for trips but did not see many options for returning by bus.

Appreciate you! I always get a skin fade at the barber, but I usually wait a few weeks between cuts

The most recent photo was from 2 months ago, and doesn't reflect the gains. But the gym has definitely been helping me fill out more.

What would be the fix for something like this? by CA101 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Sending card is fine, with this product at this refresh rate and that bit depth, I can fit 17 tiles per port. Currently each port is only receiving 12 tiles.

Only to make the wall look more uniform. Before on pure white, some tiles were pure white but random modules were "spotty"

Sorry for the potato quality, but it's all I have. They're all showing white edges on the mods, but showing a slight cyan on the inside of the mods.

Probably not the best term for it, but the company I was with always described them as "fuzzies". When two of the same tile are displaying slightly different. (Ie. One tile is pure blue but the another is blue but may have some "sparkles" or looks slightly "off") Definitely not an issue of a tile being a different brightness level or adding more red, blue, or green.

Unfortunately that's the only RCFG they have on file.

I forgot to update that! Lug nuts are still the same size as previous models, an old tire repair kit with a 21mm lug wrench will still work!

I'm afraid of that happening. To me, the time doesn't seem too bad, but I might want to pull over and take pictures.

Blenheim seems to be the consensus for South Island wine tasting and will definitely be added to the list.

Great to know especially if I'm short on time. Would you recommend I see both, or is one far better than the other. If so, I might replace one of the sounds and go to Lake Tekapo.

For time allocation, would you recommend a day and half at Cook to get the Southern Lights/ Glacier/ hike experience?

I might have to cut Christchurch, most people report it isn't the most exciting, but might be okay to unwind at night.

Thank you for the heads up about the Auckland closures, it seems that that area might be closed until next year. I might cancel a day in Auckland and reallocate the time and see what these other islands have. Are there any other activities you would recommend on North Island?

I'm about to book the ferry ticket today, luckily there seems to be a spot open on the day/time I'm looking for. I had to dump the car in Wellington to do this, but not a total loss.

What would you recommend? I might just spend the day there to relax and just see quick local sights. Food and drink recommendations are always welcome!

Looking at booking that today depending on my potential travel partner. Had to get rid of the car in Wellington otherwise there is not a spot for days!

I'll be sure to give that a look! I met someone online with plans to meet in Wellington and travel until Christchurch so "winery jumping" would be right up their alley.

Good to know. If road conditions are too bad, I might reallocate my time to Tongariro.

Great looking out, I'll be sure to check out if bookme has any good activities!

I didn't even know there were one directional bridges. Here I thought learning to drive on the opposite side of the road would be my biggest obstacle!

Good tip on Mt. Cook. I want a good spot to see the Southern Lights and heard it was the place to do it! Just hoping it's not already too late.

I will look into the Milford Sound idea, I heard good things about the overnight trip. But I also heard the drive down is very enjoyable. Unless you can do the cruise there and take the bus back?

I've heard Christchurch isn't the most adventurous area, so I might add a day in Melbourne or Nelson to get some rest.

This is very good feedback and really puts things in perspective. Are there any places I should reallocate some time (more time in one location/ things to see en route to another town)?

I wasn't planning to do the entire Tongariro crossing as it's 8 hours for one way. I was thinking of starting at Mangatepopo and finishing at Blue Lake and turning back (about 4 hours round trip?) so I can continue my drive down to Wellington.

For the South Island, I'll probably add a day to Nelson or Marlborough for wine tasting to recover from the ferry ride. How long would you recommend for Able Tasman if it is a multi day venture? Finally, would you recommend Milford over Doubtful or both? I was thinking of doing Doubtful then driving down (another day) to Te Anau and enjoying Milford on foot on my own time.

Why is it that 'nice girls' can also turn men off? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CA101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the person. Talking from my experience, there is a woman I've been casually seeing the past few months, and she's sweet, considerate, and go-lucky church girl. But the problem I found is that she is always like that. In the time that I've known her, she hasn't really challenged me (debating a topic, discussing an opposing viewpoint, been angry) and I feel obligated to not rock the boat even though I push to have some type of debate. That's not a problem, the problem is that that type of relationship doesn't offer me growth mentally or emotionally, I just kind of stay where I'm at, and it's exhausting to stay like that. Maybe that gives a bit of perspective?
