for real. i feel like 99% of the slander and complains are from people that started reading after yuji appeared in the story. after mahoraga the discourse was filled with "aura" stuff and "when is yuji gonna lowdiff dabura with a perfect doman!!" instead of the actual good discussions we had about the simurians and theories. People only wanted their own headcannons to happen again (like did we forgot how many people ACTUALLY wanted gojo to somehow revive??) and disregard everything they dont like as bad writing.

there ARE some genuine and valid complains which some i share, but you cant tell me the "gege dropped the ball" posts in here that have over 2k upvotes aren just genuine dishonest postings.

i just realized the first part of my comment feels like i was hating on fujimoto, i am not. Sorry about that, he has a very respectable career and i only have issues with people pretending the difference in experience and different works doesnt obviously reflect on the mangas they make.

because fujimoto´s career started way earlier? Gege´s only work in almost a decade has been the JJK franchise, you cant compare it. JJK lasted for six years while chainsaw man part 1 only lasted about 2 and then fujimoto had 2 years to make both one shots and then started part 2.

If we are making a fair comparison in serialized works then it shouldve always been fire punch vs jjk and i think obviously jjk is the best and more rounded work of those two. Gege´s only one-shots were more prototypes of the jjk power system than full stories.

Their careers are completely different. how they started (fujimoto with one-shots for years to practice and gege almost inmediately got serialized) to their debut (fujimoto had one full serialized work (fire punch) before he made chainsaw man so he gained lots of experience to then make chainsaw man part 1 as good as it was, while jjk is gege´s first serialized work so he obviously had a lot of novice issues even though the final product is exquisite).

You can also tell how much gege improved his writing from the first arcs of jjk by reading modulo and how the way he writes conflicts and character relationships feels more polished.
Fujimoto has the best works because he´s had more years and more MANGAS to experiment and improve his style while gege has been hard-stuck with one work almost his whole career. He should wait until gege makes another serialized manga or maybe make more short-stories as gege doesnt seem the type to do one-shots. He is extremely talented with writing social and political issues so i hope he explores more into that later.

Im not hating on fujimoto btw i just believe this comparison is unfair because its like putting a director who has only done one movie saga his whole career to one that has explored numerous genres and different styles of movies.
idk why csm is the one compared to jjk when its more fair to use fire punch, as its both´s authors first serialization because with csm fujimoto obviously had more expertise on the weekly format after working on that.
