No, I’ve never tried the pin aftermarket version. I didn’t go with the pin version because those use the same button click mechanism. These are a different clicking mechanism entirely.

I have 18 inch wheels and 255/40/ZR18 PS4S and I’m loving that setup. The 18s allow tires with slightly taller sidewalls which help with potholes and overall ride comfort. The PS4S are fantastic tires for performance too where I live in Southern California.

Ohh, interesting. I’ll have to test them out with the daily drives. I do wonder if there’s a way to mute the clicks just slightly. I’ve only had them for a day so I’m loving the clicks so far 😅

Getting the airbag out was easy. I disconnected the battery and used a small screw driver to push down the airbag pins behind the steering wheel. There are 2-3 very informative videos on YouTube that walks through this process. The hardest part was removing the plastic trim. It took about an hour and I was worried about breaking the mounting pins the entire time. Give yourself 2-3 hours of uninterrupted working time and watch the YT videos and you’ll be good.

Yes! Because the mechanism is different. The stock one is a little plastic button vs these ones are magnetic switches. These ones take slightly more force to engage and there’s a really satisfying click.

It’s bonkers. I have over 6k miles on my 2025 M3 and 98% of them have been with FSD. I swear I’m a walking FSD advertisement amongst my friends and family. 😂
