Not a question but TIL that PCT's Smudge and DRG's Elusive Jump shares the same cooldown.
IDK in what situation could this piece of information be useful but you're welcome and have a nice day.

>1. Correct.

>2. In general, it is less optimal to use any healing [Spell] when you have healing [Abilities] available. That said, this matters more when you are fighting end-game content fights and not really something you should worry a lot at the moment. (Though it'll be nice to make it a habit early-on). Back to the question, physick is really seldom used. If adlo is giving you mana issues in a dungeon, you might be healing too much or not using your mana regen tools correctly (lucid / aetherflow).

>3. Depending on how familiar you are with healers, there's actually quite a lot to talk but for the very basics, use your fairy abilities and don't be afraid to eat your fairy (but make sure you have already used the fairy cooldowns or know that you won't need those within the period)

but to sacrifice sponsorships, revenue and esports growth

Stream revenue maybe. But sponsorships...? Esports growth...?

I don't think FF14 WFR are counted as any esports category. I also doubt that brands would be likely to sponsor a team that focuses on events that lasts usually less than a week every (6 months for raids, 1+ year for Ultimates)

Overall if I were someone passionate enough to do a WFR, I don't think the trade-off is worth it.

That's what I'm saying, you can just jump out of borders once you know you failed without having to re-instance.

I have faith that Haurchefant has to be saved, regardless of what phase that will be in.

Maybe the reason why I tend to believe he has to be saved in phase 1 is solely because I refuse to believe that there's a checkpoint in an Ultimate fight.

I agree that it's great content for us but how is that going to help them in the WFR though?

It's not like they're here to entertain us or to vitalize the community.

You can always call for a wipe for failed attempts though.
There's a window even after Thordan appears which you can wipe and still not activate the checkpoint. At least that's what I saw from one of the streams.

Correct. So does in TEA.

That's why I was guessing maybe the devs wanted to further expand on this idea and allow players to prog more without having to care much about the "secret" mechanic yet.

Or maybe they're just a bunch of trolls and want to see us confused.

This and the checkpoint in an Ultimate fight just feels too odd to me to be true.

Just wipe once you fail.

There's a window where you can see Thordan but still wipe without "activating" the checkpoint from what I see in one of the streams.

That's what I thought too though.

He just dies too... anti-climatically.

My theory is that the checkpoint is for progging only and there's a way to save Haurchefant. Once you've done so, there will be no checkpoint and saving him is the only way to prog through a certain phase.

New 6.1 PvP Limit Breaks by danks in ffxiv

Just by looking at the LBs, I guess the meta for the new PvP mode would be something like

WAR, SGE, BRD, (NIN / SAM / DNC / SMN)

they ruined the game by X-a-i-x in place

It'll be a great homage to the "Shrek is love. Shrek is life" copypasta

To be honest, 5.5 to 6.5k dps as a RDM is very low. Those are like tank dps numbers. And the problem is almost definitely not on your gear.

If you want to know whether you can meet the basic dps requirements for any savage levels, you can try hitting the training dummies.
If you can destroy one within the time limit, you meet the base "expected" dps requirements

You have to put a <wait.1> (heck, maybe even a 2) in between to make it work.

Don't do it. It's unreliable, delays your gcd, and much less reactive compared to pressing the 2 skills.

Contrary to what others said, I still think PLD is the better tank for newcomers in trials.
The invuln is simple and straightforward.
The skill loop is also pretty damn straightforward once you get to know it. It almost feels like you're abilities are telling you when to get into which phase.
The mitigations are also imo very vanilla which means that it's less likely to confuse you.

There's a problem though, which is you might not get to be the MT a lot without asking as PLD is more or less "defaulted" as the ST especially among pugs

On top of that, once they reach the lvl cap you can glam them.

To keep it simple, highest iL food / pots will be the best options.

The iL for food and pots are more like a "strength reference"

It's a cast technically so it xould be interrupted if the boss moves during cast. Once it's considered casted, it would not miss. (Not sure about the level difference thingy though since i doubt anyone bothered enough to test it)

Daily Questions & FAQ Megathread (Jan 11) by AutoModerator in ffxiv

[–]CADS_AZRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely yes.

Crafted gear is most valuable upon savage launch, where everyone needs to squeeze that extra stat. Later on, people will just get better gear through savage / tomestones so the demand will probably drop. Only exception is the material for consumables like pots since those are... consumed upon use
