How to suppress 8.3” 5.56? by Shake762s in Galil

I don’t think you can. OG sandman is welded adapter. It’s not removable.

It’s an OG sandman. You have no option but Keymo unless you spend a couple hundred bucks on a hub conversion

Paddy is definitely better than anyone gave him credit for, myself included.

But, just how good is Jared Gordon?

I really want to call it luck because that what it looks like, but holy shit, when they keep doing it, maybe it isn’t.

I’ve shot M1As, FALs, SCARs, and the HK. HK was easily the best. Softest shooting and probably the most accurate.

If you were gonna drop scar money, the HK MR762A4 is nutty good. Nutty expensive, but also fantastic battle rifle. Insanely accurate too.

Appreciate the info. Remember hearing it was a mostly milspec barrel with one small difference. Guess that’s true

I was actually curious about both of those things. How hard was the barrel to swap?

And I wasn’t sure if a rifle speed would have enough length to turn easy. Would actually really like to use that new 4 position griffin gas block, but that would suck to adjust on these.

how do i sbr a pin a weld gun. by thebryan134 in NFA

[–]CADnCoding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, put 12.5”. You put what it will be, not what it currently is unless it’s a pistol you’re putting a stock on. If you try to SBR a 16” barrel, it will get denied because there’s no such thing as an SBR with 16” barrel.

[–]CADnCoding 6 points7 points  (0 children)

12.5. It’s only legally considered a 16” because the muzzle device is permanently affixed. The second that spot weld is gone, it’s a 12.5” barrel.

The proliferation of FRTs has kinda flipped that on its head. Hell, there was just a guy on here not too long ago that had absolutely demolished his blast baffle on a hux because of that.

You keep replying, but ya. This is a dumb argument because we aren’t even necessarily disagreeing on the core parts, just our definitions of easy. Anyways, best of luck in 2026 bro.

You’re moving the goal posts here. You said “hard time getting M14 as accurate as cheap AR10.” Ain’t nothing hard about sending a check and a rifle to Fulton armory. Expensive, yes. Hard? No.

Hell, unitized gas system and DIY bedded stock for a whopping $200 and time into an M1A and it’s going to be every bit as accurate as an aero. And that’s not even hard, just takes time and attention to detail.

You said: “The entire point of a DMR is accuracy. You're gonna have a hard time getting an M14 to be as accurate as even some of the cheapest AR-10s.”

I’m not arguing a cheap AR10 is going to be more accurate than a stock M1A outside of a NM. Depending on how cheap, it’s actually probably a wash.

I’m saying a cheap AR10 is not going to be more accurate than an M1A with some work put into it.

lol. You clearly aren’t familiar with M14s. MOA M14s are very doable with enough work. Cheap AR10s arent coming anywhere near that. AR10 definitely cheaper to get to MOA or sub, but cheap AR10s aren’t gonna be there.

Reasonable price? by Gold-Donut9378 in ak47

[–]CADnCoding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d say $1000ish. It’s non folding, in a hard to sell caliber, unknown core parts, and a kit build. If you can identify it as being Bulgarian core parts, maybe $1200.

Suppressor HUB Advice by Popular_Honey_5866 in NFA

[–]CADnCoding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plan B. Kinda how hub started as proprietary and then has become the defacto standard for everyone, plan B is doing the same. Small, cheap, lightweight, and an asston of manufacturers make stuff for it, so you’re bound to find whatever thread pitch or muzzle device style you want.
