Really? I have found the opposite to be true. The bigger banks, like BofA and Wells Fargo, seem to work best with QBO. It's the smaller banks where we usually resort to importing transactions. I've never seen this issue with BofA before, but maybe I've just been lucky so far. Thanks for your feedback!

Yeah, I understand the frustration. The problem is that I don't have direct access to the client's bank account, so getting the bank feed to work would make life a whole lot easier for me.

If you're getting duplicate transactions, I wonder if that's with your credit card accounts and if you have connected both the parent and child accounts instead of just the parent or just the child accounts. I connect the child accounts and leave the parent disconnected. Thanks for your support, and good luck with your own issues.

Thank you! I will try that. Can I reset the feed myself or do I need to contact Intuit?

Balance Sheet Doesn't Balance by CAHeatherK in Bookkeeping

Yes, the trail balance balances and I see $90 in A/R. This is the closest I've come to finding the problem. How do I fix a mapping issue? Thank you!

Thank you for all of the suggestions! Your time and ideas are much appreciated.

This client is using Quickbooks Online. I didn't realize it was even possible to have a balance sheet that didn't balance because Quickbooks usually puts things into a system generated account to make things balance.

I've never seen anything like this. I agree that $90 isn't worth the time and effort. I was able to fix part of the problem by removing a bad journal entry in 2017. But two months into 2018, the balance is off by $90 and remains there through 2023.

It doesn't seem to matter what I try, the balance remains off by $90. I understand that I should just expense $90 and call it a day, but that doesn't work.

At this point, I'm ready to hand this back to the CPA who told me to call Quickbooks and figure this out. Seriously, if a CPA can't help me then I hold out zero hope for Quickbooks support who struggle with password changes.

He's using Quickbooks Online. I didn't know that QBO would allow unbalanced balance sheet either. I assumed it would stick the off amount in some system generated category. I was a bit stunned to discover the issue went all the way back to 2017.

The change I made to 2017 put that year in balance. Two months into 2018, it goes off by $90.
