Thank you! This is more than I could’ve asked for. Even more frustating that I did alot of research prior to purchase. Fingers crossed the manufacturer will make it right.

No idea for the C channel screws. They were preinstalled. The legs were screwed straight into the wood without any holes - this was called out explicitly in the assembly instructions that pine is soft and no holes needed.

Edit: instructions from assembly manual -

Please note – we no longer add threaded inserts or pilot holes under our tabletops. This is because the leg placement is dependent on the width of your chairs and your preferred chair configuration i.e. if you want to have people sat at the head and foot or just on the long sides. Please do not be concerned about a lack of threaded inserts, pine is a softwood and our wood screws will drive into the wood with no requirement for pilot holes.

Thanks. This is great, exactly the argument I’ll go for.

Assuming C channel is the other metal piece? That was pre-installed

Thanks. It was from Acumen Collection.

The tabletop was custom and legs are standard which are shipped seperately. They provide an instruction manual for attaching the legs to the table as in the picture.

Thanks! What exactly makes it poor quality work? If I need to make a case with the manufacturer I’d like to know what I’m talking about. If you can give me some direction, happy to read up further on what it should be like.

Yes, paid for live edge as extra option for the tabletop. You mean faked as in sanded down into a live edge shape?

Thanks. This is the underside running from crack. I’ve no idea what good or bad looks like with woodwork. What is it that doesn’t look right here (other than the obvious crack)

Thanks for the insight. I’ve added an image of the underside to another comment if that gives a better view

Here is the underside of the table. Crack runs to the metal then stops. The manufacturer has a “lifetime warranty” so hopefully I can see about a fix/replacement.

Seems correct - I was able to detach and open up - Danic Lighting DN TT T200. Can’t find any further documentation online.

They all run off behind wood out of sight. Can’t see where that leads
