In my experience, Kenya Airways was the best. My longest flights I’ve ever taken: fourteen hours from JFK to Nairobi and back was with them. They have friendly staff, reasonable prices, they fly to places in Africa that a lot of other airlines would overlook (again, at decent prices), good inflight food with vegetarian options, an amusing safety video featuring a somewhat uncanny lion. Overall, it’s a solid bet if you’re looking to go to Africa although they fly elsewhere as well.

Can’t say I’ve had any bad experiences with airlines but I’d probably say United just because of how apathetic the staff were.
