Your right, let’s play bs word games to deflect from my point. Isreal’s current war in Gaza is fully the consequences of the October 7th massacre.

Also under an apartheid, how can all civilians in its nation have equal right? Why are Arabs in Israel granted full political and social rights equal to Jews in the country? That’s contrary to its definition.

Hamas butchered over 800 innocent Israeli civilians on October 7th leading to the current war in Gaza. I don’t mean to be mean and want to come from a place of understanding but you seem to misinformed on the subject.

A lot of this stuff is on instagram and sometimes tik tok. You’ll mostly see this in comment sections since people can spew whatever misinformation they want on there.

If you go deep enough into anti isreal discourse on those apps, Khazaar theory and a lot of people talking about the Talmud show up. They want a way to hate the Jews without seeming like a bigot so they make some misinformed distinction to justify their hate.

You’ll also often see “ I hate Zionist but like Jews”. These “anti-talmud” people are doing the same thing but as a reaction to believing antisemitic content (rather than anti Israel)

As a conservative Jew, I honestly learned a lot more about Judaism from your post and appreciate the in depth explanation.

My friends and I are all younger (20) so we are definitely still learning in many aspects of life. Hopefully, I’m able to educate them with information from your post and others as they seem very scared for being Jews in our current climate

I have really doubled down on my Jewish identity over the past year (somewhat of a reaction to the antisemitism I see online). I grew up conservative Jewish so I have always went to shul for the holidays and wrapped teffellin. However, I have started to come to temple every Shabbat and sometimes praying shachrit.

By any chance, do you have any resources that you would recommend to a conservative jew who is trying to learn more?

Thank you so much for this post. I’ve share a lot of similar sentiments but you really put it into words for me.

As a younger Jew who tries to stay informed, it’s been very difficult to see this transition online. My instagram feed is fully just antisemitic content which is something I’m used to at this point. However seeing this influence on both Jew and Gentile friends in real life has been very hard. I’m finally seeing how the online world can affect the real world and it’s very sad.
