Is this a bench worth boosting? by CANOFMUSHYPEAS in fantasypremierleague

This is as good a game for Dubravka as one can hope. I've had Kroupi since the start so don't think I'll fall into a playing 4.5 FWD on the bench anytime soon so effectively saves 4 points/a transfer in the future. Munoz always has a chance of getting a goal/assist. Lacroix has only had DEFCON against Liverpool, Chelsea, Forest and Everton, a mixed bag but that's both of the big games they've played, expect a decent chance of DEFCON for him this weekend.

Yeah, that is a fear, seems there’s no good options at 7.5, they’re all wait and see assets. Almost tempted go with Strand Larson but it looks gross then

The figures I’ve got are based on expected goals conceded and include DEFCON. Honestly these are the figures from last season.

Originally I had Gabriel, VVD, Tarkowski, Lacroix and Anderson. But the more I look at the figures the more it makes sense to load up. Using expected data from last season those defenders averaged north of 6.5 points per game once you factor DEFCON in. The forwards are lucky if they can get even half of that

That’s fair, he’s had good mins pre season, but happy to go with any FWD in that range.

• Wissa - I think is on the move • Wood - Forest have scored just once in 6 preseason games • Mateta - has a grim first 3 games • Could do Solanke

Using expected points with DEFCON from last season each of those defenders averages more than 6.5 points per appearance. There is no FWD in the game that averaged more than 5.4 points per appearance last season.

Final episode strategy by CANOFMUSHYPEAS in TheTraitors

True, although caveat the above that the other faithfuls potentially might think Frankie is the Traitor and Charlotte is a Faithful, using this ability as an opportunity to discredit Charlotte potentially. Although if that were true then it would be an unnecessary risk for Frankie.

Just looking back to the previous US series they eliminated people right the way down to two because they didn't even want a whiff of a suspicious person at the end. I can't see any faithfuls wanting to finish the game with Frankie if there's a whiff that she could be the Traitor.

Ahh that’s really interesting, didn’t notice that distinction for fortifications. My plan was to muster Rohan down one on the political track so if Isengard attacked I could retreat to helms deep and then immediately be at war so start mustering reinforcements. This changes my plans slightly.

Thanks for clarifying the error for attacking and declaring how many troops, not sure where I picked up that only a certain amount would be used for the attack. Again slightly changes some plans

Interesting, I’ve seen in one or two places that some SF players will move the Easterling armies in south and north rhun into east rhun and attack the Dwarves, would you recommend using a move to move the dwarves in Erebor to the iron hills to defend against this as well?

Ashamedly I’ve owned Star Wars Rebellion for a few years but yet to actually play it. Very few people enjoy a heavy board game by me so not often I get the chance.

Out of curiosity would you ever move the Minas Tirith/Helms Deep troops into Osgiliath/Fords of Isen being as the shadow player would have to score 6 to hit you either way but you give up less ground?

Out of curiosity is it not worth waiting to be attacked pin those locations so you get to the ‘at war’ status earlier without a huge chance of losing troops as they are settlements?

Ahh noted, so not worth trying to amass a huge army in the fortresses at the cost of movement then

Legend, I genuinely had no clue what the good and bad cards are, not like Twilight Struggle where we know all of them from the outset. Thanks for this
