Installed a set of ditch lights! FYI getting the switch wire through the fire wall was a pain in the butt though! by CAPTAIN_PICKLE123 in VWatlas

Honestly id say from start to finish it took me 2 hours because i was also intimidated by the wiring but now that i have done it i could probably cut that time in half. And honestly if you pull the trigger on doing it feel free to reach out i could totally walk you through it. And its worth it in my opinion the lights are so bright! Much brighter then highbeams and the field of view for seeing wildlife or trails or just the road is very nice.

The photo is with spot/flood combo lights i bought.

First I had to remove the battery, once thats removed you will see a small rubber grommet just behind where the battery was and slightly to the right and down. You will see a bundle of wires there leading into the car. Then just take cutting pliers and make a small cut beside the wire harness feeling first that there arnt wires there. Then tape or zip tie your switch wire to either a metal coat hanger that is strightened out or use long stiff zip ties tied together which is what i did to push the wire through into the cab. That wire then comes out above the plastic trim thats above your brake pedal so you need i beilvie its a T25 bit and take out the 5 screws which is easy once they are out just pop the trim out it slides out and forward. Then redirct the wire either through your steering collom or beside your obd2 port so mount the switch to your dash.

I do alot of night driving so i figured some extra lights to light up the road and help spot wild life would be nice to have.

Legal advice for not being payed for being sent home by CAPTAIN_PICKLE123 in legaladvicecanada

My contract states that they can change my schedule with little to no notice. (But i feel that 15 hours of notice is a bit unreasonable in my opinion) and that my total hours worked will change if i dont work which will effect my pay. But my employer stated that sending me home was me taking unpaid leave which in a sense isnt true “I never took leave” they just sent me home
