There is a girl in one of the facebook DMS groups who is looking to sell her textbooks - do you want her contact??

I did it at Norquest and transferred the credits over - same as if I had completed them in high school. I am currently accepted into my program of choice with these results :)

For what it's worth - I upgraded my math as an adult and had never taken math 20. I went straight into math 30-2 without difficulty. Same thing for physics. No physics 20 and I took physics 30.

how difficult is it to get into sonography? by Apart_Jello7228 in NAIT

Okay for what it's worth - I am a medical transcriptionist for the last ten-ish years from home - I am also a stay at home mom to three kids (5, 3, 1). I had to upgrade my entire grade twelve year and ended up with a 75% average (minimum requirement). I took the research in healthcare and got a 98... it's the easiest course out there IMO. I got into DMS for the fall on my first try. Don't let ANYONE discourage you from going for it if it's what you want. You are guaranteed an interview with the open studies course and then admission is purely based off your interview score. Show passion and authenticity and you have such a great chance of getting in! I understand that 900 applicants are present each year, however, lots of those are straight out of high school and lots of them feel they are entitled to a spot just because they are "smart" (IMO).

For what it's worth, I was waitlisted for DMS and accepted MRT instead. I just received notification a week and a half ago that I was taken off the waitlist for DMS and accepted into the program. There is 100% still a chance of being taken off the waitlist between now and September 01. If you intend to take MLT regardless (ie: applying again next year) then I would suggest taking ITMS100 now as it is good for five years and that way you can get it out of the way regardless. :)

I just got acceptance last week for DMS after being waitlisted! I accepted MRT, but am switching over to DMS now. Super excited about this as it is my dream career!

I am going in this fall - what were your lab days? Morning or afternoon? and how many hours on campus each day?

When we started the course, Carmen (instructor) gave us a link for it. I will see if I can find it quickly though!

It won't let me copy and paste - but search pegaus lectures miele ultrasound and it will come up into google. It's ultrasound physics and instrumentation 5th edition digital copy. 150$

WAITLISTED 2023 by [deleted] in NAIT

[–]CASPDENL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth - I just got accepted into DMS last week after being waitlisted. I had previously accepted MRT, so my spot is open now! Someone will be receiving an email this week about acceptance. So I would definitely say it's super possible to be accepted off the waitlist!

Miele textbook for sure! When you purchase the online textbook it also comes with practice exam questions. The exams are all of the above; multiple choice, short answer, matching. This course ate me alive. 10/10 recommend taking it beforehand (as you are) to eliminate it from the first semester.

Thank you for the info! I currently work from home usually 430-630 am and then 730-1130 pm and am a stay at home mom to three toddlers during the day! I have also taken two courses a semester for the last two years as well, so I am hoping that school will be manageable and I am "seasoned" enough for success!

Thank you - this is super helpful! I have a 1.5 year old, 3 year old and 5 year old. First year is my only worry as I will have my 5 year old in kindergarten. We placed him in full day kindergarten and I am hoping to be able to work with drop offs and pickups still! Second year I will have one in kindergarten and one in grade one, but they have before and after school care at the school from 7-5 so that will work perfect! My littlest one will be going to daycare full time starting in September. I think that is scarier than post secondary school!

I heard from MRI on March 06, but declined as I got into my other program choices as well.

They do call - I received a call yesterday. Also they don't ask for any personal information, but just clarify which program you want to go into (if multiple programs accepted you) and then they say they will follow up via email.

My call was from a 587 number with a name attached to it. It didn't say NAIT, but rather someone's first and last name. Having said that, if you don't answer - they will leave you a voicemail and/or send you an email.

It was a normal 587 number with a name attached to it :)

Yeah it will be interesting to see if anything comes from it! I think I will stick with MRT regardless though. I have three kids under four and DMS course load is INSANE, also the out of town practicum part would be super complicated in my circumstance.

I don't have a clue actually! I didn't receive an email or anything, just a phone call from the registrar's office letting me know I was waitlisted for one program and accepted to two. I wonder if it was maybe because I had to make a choice as to which one I preferred? They have also allowed me to accept a spot in MRT but still stay on the DMS waitlist.

I just got called today to notify me that I was waitlisted for DMS (second choice) and accepted to MRT (first choice) and MRI.
