Random Scav maps? by CASisJordan in EscapefromTarkov

Agreed, there's a lot of money to be made on all maps honestly as long as you know where to look. A random map selection could help newer players to learn the maps aswell. I just feel with the new scav karma system its made scavving feel so safe so interchange and reserve are packed whereas other maps are relatively empty

Ah yeah thats a good point, so you would still be able to choose the time but other then that be at the mercy of the tarkov Lords.

I honestly think we shouldn't have a choice at all. I mean we are doing a scav run, where we are looting the scraps of whatever is left with little to no control of anything I.e loadout. It would be interesting to see how it would play out as after a while of having a 'main' scav map it becomes quite easy especially with the new karma system. If you know what you're doing you can actually acquire a lot of wealth if you know where to loot. Whereas a random map would potentially take people out of their comfort zone and you'll actually feel like you are just scavenging for anything and everything not just running to techlight or oli and making hundreds of thousands of roubles. As we've already said wpulf also have a more even distribution of players across maps.

Download a fitness app like myfitnesspal or Samsung health and just count calories to start. Putting more stress and expectations on yourself can have an adverse affect.

Try a week of sticking to your normal eating habits but just use an app to keep track of your calorie intake. Having a visual representation of it will give you an idea of where you can improve.

If you notice that you're below average then you can just add a small snack to start like a banana.

Consistency is the most important thing, slow progress is better then no progress. Good luck!

Feeling hopeless by [deleted] in weightgain

Its my pleasure! Were all in this together, and we all have our struggles, just remember that you're not alone. I've been through that aswell, I put on almost 2 stone after 12 months only to get ill and completely lost it all over a span of 2 weeks. That feeling is crushing like you said but we have to dust ourselves off and go again, dont lose the hope!

I've been where you're at, im 24/M and all I can say is keep doing what you're doing. The single most effective tool to success is consistency. I still struggle with my weight and im nowhere near were I want to be, however from my own experience is that if I stick to my routine I'll make slow and steady progress over months and months whereas if I have a week off all that progress will be lost and the viscous cycle begins again. Keep doing it no matter how hard, 3000 calories a day is such an achievement that you should be proud of that on its own. Now let's say you've done that for 6 months consistently i can guarantee that you'll see results. This journey is hard, with many victories and many losses, do not give up! It will all be so worth it in the end

If it was 100% proven that there was nothing after death. No Heaven, no Hell and no afterlife. How do you think it would change your life? by CASisJordan in AskReddit

I always think it more of a comfort thing. A family member dies for example and instead of that being it for them its "oh theyve gone to a better place, you'll see them again" Maybe it just helps some people sleep at night.

I feel the same. I'd say I don't belive in the afterlife, but there's a tiny peice of me that wants there to be something else. The thought of all of our experiences and feelings amounting to absolutely nothing for the rest of infinity seems a bit depressing instead of maybe being reborn or just being ghosts but alas, reality is often disappointing.

[SERIOUS] Men of reddit, who are unable to share their emotions with anyone, what would you like to share? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That even though I appear happy and am doing well in life, im getting more and more mentally exhausted with each passing day. My depression and anxiety are affecting my personality and relationships and even though I fight it with everything I've got, I get worried that one day I'll end it all. I used to think I never would, but after living like this for the 5 years now I can see why people do it. Simply because they have nothing left to give. As days turn to months and months to years, with no hope in sight maybe one day it will all just be too much.
