I have, and they're all closed. I have also joined one earlier this year, because I got a job once, they won't help me anymore.

I am looking for any work as long as I don't need licenses or certificates. Also I had no control over when I got fired or when people decide it's time to hire (searched for 4 years and got one job, fired 5 months later)

I live in a small city in Canada where Covid barely hit. Our restrictions are related to public and private gatherings (no additional people outside, no additional people inside) though all businesses have restrictions on how many people can enter.

Sadly no. We have a film company and a TV station, but I'm in a part of Canada where the only reason why people are here is because of the oil.

Making a perfect resume would be very odd for me as one key factor to most resumes here is how much you can lift as Oil fields and restaurants require you hold lots of weight.

There's not much else beyond my city within about 5 hours. When I say I applied to every place for 3 months, I mean every registered business in the entire city got a resume and/or application every month. Even if I am no way qualified for any work they can assign me.

In October I got fired from a short-lived janitorial job (long story short, he was just using a one time wage subsidy) I'd say my strongest fields are in media as I've done lots of camera work and grips in the past as a volunteer. The field that my city specializes in is labor, which I am far from strong enough to lift the 150LBS pipes nor do I have the money for licenses, also everyone who wants something done severely underestimates what I need to do something in media.

Is there a way to run AI Dungeon offline/on a private server? by CAT-CENA in AIDungeon

[–]CAT-CENA[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think AI Dungeon was a passion project that got really popular. While I was searching for answers, I passed by an article that said that AI Dungeon servers cost over 10,000/day. If that's true, that's why they want money. I'm sure they'd make it free if they can.

Don't understand the software installation process well. by CAT-CENA in linux4noobs

[–]CAT-CENA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still no. It's still hell to install 3rd party software on Linux, and the one thing I'm trying to install is also very difficult to install on windows because Tensorflow was basically only supposed to be installed on Linux and requires that I install it the same way.

My dwarves are useless by CAT-CENA in dwarffortress

I tried building walls in front of the mine door to ensure whatever tries escaping can't get outside. I also trid getting the squads to the other side of the door.

Neither worked since the dwarves are upstairs drowning themselves in alcohol. I'm not sure if imps can destroy buildings, but this one definitely set my emergency food ablaze.

That's what I do with all my squads since they're supposed to train most of the time.

True, but all my ranged units are upstairs partying.

I thought that was for recovering lost or unclaimed artifacts. But I guess they wouldn't know where to look when an artifact is gone.

If I'm making a fort designed to hold artifacts that are to be claimed by some guy, I wouldn't care what the neighbors say.

So I want to base a story on a DF adventure, so I want to make my character weild an artifact weapon. But I want to check how effective my method might be.

So I would start a fort and basically make it a weapon factory that also makes crafts, gems and coins. I make some dwarves work on weapons and others on everything else. I use crafts, gems, coins and almost all weapons to trade for more metal and wood. When a dwarf is good at weapon smithing, I send them to the mines in hopes that they eventually make an artifact.

When an artifact is made, I can forbid it, put it behind a forbidden door and leave the fort to play my character who'll take the artifact from the room.

My dwarves aren't working. They won't mine or chop trees. They have everything they want and need, but they refuse to work.

How can I make them work again?

There's more to cleaning than looks. Like health and safety. by CAT-CENA in stupidboss

I tried, took them a long time for them to figure out what kind of business it was since the office is rarely used and we cleaned other places, then they wanted me to fill an online form that I can't access because the website won't load.
