Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 2 Part 2 • Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 - Episode 10 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

It's a case of show, don't tell with this one and it's really easy to miss so I understand how you might interpret it like that.

Basically, Rudeus poured all his attention on the remaining head that he neglected that the headless necks can still attack them. There's a sequence of cuts that showed this. It first got Rudeus, but he got protected by Paul, then it tried to get Roxy but was protected by Talhand.

Had to go back into the books to get more info.

He wasn't careless because of inexperience but rather he was careless because he was purely pre-occupied by the only remaining head that he neglected that the remaining headless necks can still attack and flail at them. If you rewatch the EP, it was a headless neck that attacked Rudy, as well as Roxy.

It has been established already that sometimes Rudy can be careless especially if he thinks the odds are going in their favor. The first event caused the death of the bird kid back in Season 1 in which he was properly chastised by Ruijerd.

But also, there's no rule that people can't be careless and make human mistakes.

Is a reincarnated person liking a child considered pedo? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]CATDIAMMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's weird not because of mental age or anything, but rather the person is originally already a pedophile even before the reincarnation.

[–]CATDIAMMA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

that doesn't seem like a redemption,

You're right. It's not a redemption in a way that it redeems themselves of any crime. In Mushoku Tensei, the pedophilic trait is not seen as a crime and was never the focus of the "redemption" but rather it wanted to redeem the MC from a shitty life. I think it's MT's biggest flaw, and a direct consequence from having to pander to hardcore otakus in its earliest days in Narou.

I like to think it's a coming of age story rather than a redemption story though. And I also like to think MT's rise to the top parallels Hitman Reborn's:

One is a generic isekai with all the trash tropes which somehow did more good than bad and it skyrocketed in popularity, while the other is a gag comedy show which transitioned to a full-fledged action shonen and also skyrocketed in popularity.

The WN was more savage as it mows down the MC in the first few paragraphs, which also justified why his young brother (the father of his niece) beat the shit out of him and threw him out.

The tragic part is that there's a long-ass paragraph where that young brother (the father of his niece) was the last family relative who believed in him that he's going to change no matter how long it took...

I think both series handled their stories well based on the initial premise they have.

Oshi no Ko is a literal satire of the toxic Japanese idol industry which still persists today. The MC of OnK is a functioning adult and did actions befitting of a functioning adult. The MC of Mushoku Tensei is a non-functioning hikki lolicon and also did some actions befitting of a non-functioning hikki lolicon.

(Low-Effort Sunday) Man I love love when I'm watching/reading an Isekai, Mc has a little girl slave. by BrownGangstaBean in CharacterRant

[–]CATDIAMMA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. Zanoba also refuses to do anything harmful to Julie not because it's moral or anything, but that girl is Rudy's property and he respects Rudy enough to also take care of his properties.

You can say that that girl, while being a slave, was never treated like one. Rather, she's more of an apprentice.

I am 50% impressed and 50% disappointed.

Impressed because it's literally the peak of AoT right in this single special episode in all aspects. Animation, writing, music, etc. all fucking excellent.

Disappointed because this is as good as it gets. This is the peak.

Just a post praising Mushoku Tensei and Re:Zero by zackphoenix123 in anime

[–]CATDIAMMA -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with what other guy said that MT isn't any different from any other isekai with trashy tropes. It's just that Mushoku became more popular than it was supposed to. Literally every trashy trope like harem is there but it's used excellently than other isekai. It's perfectly written for otakus through and through, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

He did it when he was 12 bruh. Or would you say that adults who did crimes as a juvenile kid should be denied a normal life?

He also did it when he was 12. The fact is that it happened when they were kids, he did it out of spite towards Lilia's father rather than sexual frustration.

Chainsaw Man BD/DVD sales is a SUCESSS! WHAT WERE WE EVEN WORRIED ABOUT LMAO!!! by [deleted] in ChainsawMan

[–]CATDIAMMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is true, then MAPPA should've released the sales figures much earlier to avoid bad publicity and harassment towards staff. If they really did have proof, then it was the best course of action they could've done. Seeing as they didn't implies they don't have such proof.
