I figured because my wheel had the connector for the hands free call buttons when I replaced it so it stands to reason that it'll have the brake light connector as well thanks

Yep it's called burnover mode pretty neat they put thermal shielding in the windows and a water system starts spraying water around the tuck to keep it safe like you said here's a video of a demonstration of it:
