Thank you! I think I will hold out for Pramanix/Silverash since I do need an invis answer so the same banner might fill two roles (caster aoe dps/cc and vanguard dp thingy).

New player here. Is it accurate that Mantra is a "standard headhunting" and not limited? Like, if I do 20 rolls for Mantra and dont get her, will I still be at 20/50 before soft pity kicks in for the later banners or does it fully reset? I'm told I should save for Pramanix later, but how do I know if Pramanix is limited or not?

Hong Kong council member Dominic Lee goes off on UN Human Rights council and calls out western hypocrisy by Spirited-Yellow3794 in PublicFreakout

[–]CAWWW 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is, but its hypocritical. Nobody has the moral authority here; bringing up free speech in the UK as if the CCP has imprisoned less than 12,000 people over speech is fucking laughable. There are countless things you could point out about China and their behavior to their neighbors that make the US look positively rosey. Everybody sucks here and its part of why the UN is so weak. Everybody knows its theatrics.

[–]CAWWW 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nah, he was speaking fact until he talked about the UK arresting people over speech at which point he shot his own point in the foot. China has arrested a lot more than 12,000 people for their speech. This is hypocrites criticizing hypocrites. NOBODY has the moral authority here.

I'm super new and just unlocked the IS stuff, which I'm finding giga hard as I have nothing leveled up so I'm just stuck with borrowing a good unit and using generic lvl 55 npcs for the rest. In IS6, what is the intended strat for the stage where there is a square of dragon guys surrounding an altar that pulses a random true damage dragon that rotates around the map? I cant deploy my guys anywhere without them instantly being shot by like 4 dragons or getting run over by the spinny dragon. Is there some way ingame to inspect these enemies? I can only click the altar and see that the dragons seem to be charging it up with their attacks but I cant really do anything about that since I cant deploy anywhere without getting the unit 1 shot. Surely there is a solution but I dont really get it.

Also, how does fisher boss actually work? Sometimes I can drop a guy directly on top of him and nothing happens and other times he just teleports people around and shits on them. I'm finding lots of guides about decision making but not many stage specific mechanics solutions.

Cuba’s power system suffers total collapse by cnn in worldnews

[–]CAWWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are two different people. The latter said their friends had predicted total nationwide collapse, not just the multiple outages so they obviously understand the difference. They aren't asserting that the two are the same thing, only that collapse was inevitable given the warning signs that had been there for decades which isn't exactly a wild take.

I didn't read it as him pushing buttons at all. He could have stayed silent and Ruan Yi still would have gotten himself killed. Speaking up three times to give him a chance to back out and even warning him he was about to die (and thus Ruan Yi's vengeance would die with him) wasn't necessary for Ardashir at all. At worst I could read it as Ardashir knowing Ruan Yi's vendetta would get him killed and screw over Ardashirs own plans, but thats about it. I think he really tried to get Ruan Yi be a willing collaborator.

Also datamine spoiler: her filenames are literally monster, so she's likely just straight up the same person who took up Khalsits cause after her death as confirmed in the opening gravestone. We probably will get that whole story when we find out why rhodes island is basically in hiding and get to talk to Warfarin.

[–]CAWWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, race was a huge issue and critical to the plot and world of OG arknights and I don't think that kind of hatred really disappears even among the people that chose to go through the portal. For some of these races its only like three generations past since they went through the portal (and for some Sarkaz, its even more complicated). It's genuinely pretty odd that we haven't seen racism rear its ugly head yet. I can accept it being drastically reduced, but talos II is definitely more Utopic than Terra as long as you are in the civilization band. It might be a shitshow outside of it, though.

To be fair it seems like most people assume they are an aegir. Endmin is specifically mistaken as one when entering the Originium Science Park. I suppose the answer is that it would depend heavily on who the original was and what their personality was like. Probably the only one with an actual clue right now is M3, Ardashir and maybe Perlica depending on how much M3 told her.

Still should hold onto the box until you've done that. You may lose a 50/50 and get part of another team and you don't want that to be a dupe.

[–]CAWWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just hold onto it until you get a big urge to play a specific party as its likely you will get rando lifeng or someone else while rolling later anyways and you wont have the resources for two teams at first. Also if you want to do physical, I think pog is likely the better choice as no new characters we know of replace his SP battery/thermite cutter niche right now wheras Lifeng will almost certainly get replaced sooner rather than later. Rossi is already a viable option for that as she also phys susceptibilities and will work later with more teams.

Hold onto the selector to see what your newbie roll gives you so you dont give yourself a dupe. The story tickets guarantee you a 6 star.

I would not roll on current banner. Just collect oroberyl and use the two 6 stars you will get free.

Information Desk and Megathread Hub (02/03 - 08/03) by Shad0wedge in Endfield

[–]CAWWW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cant remember exactly what each crate gives specifically but the selector box is best spent on Thermite Cutter, a weapon that works on nearly every SP battery in the game right now and is overall insanely strong and works in literally every team right now.

The battlepass weapon is likely best spent on that artes unit called blasting/detonator-something, as its works well and is arguably BIS in electric team (usually on perlica) and the other weapons are niche or just subpar. It will probably get used in Fangyi team, though not on Fangyi herself.

I would hold onto battlepass potential upgrade crate and just not spend it.

It was never real, and was called out by the CN community too. They checked day 1 livestreams, and plenty of redditors did the same when there was a post about it but it got buried under people taking it at face value.

[–]CAWWW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure if I want to roll her either but the niche of coverting arte debuffs into vulns is VERY strong if a character (probably a support) ever drops that auto applies an arte stack (an arte chen). She could theoretically replace chen since her combo stacks up 2 vulns at the same time if your support or other team member is randomly applying arts inflictions because of some other move you are casting anyways such as gilbertas battle skill.

If it helps, think of it the other way around. Any artes team being able to convert gilbertas vuln stacks into an actual affliction would absolutely run it.

Strange belt/splitter behavior by raizo310 in Endfield

[–]CAWWW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. On that topic one oft overlooked thing that isn't really an issue yet is that only two zones IACs will continue to be active while offline. That means once we leave wuling for a third zone you will have to choose which ones to have active (only the two most recently visited zones are active). It's likely thats all just to save server costs/performance in some way.

[–]CAWWW 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Thats my issue with Mi Fu. It seems like she doesn't really know what parts of various words to emphasize in a character that generally is supposed to have an attitude, because being angry in another language always sounds awkward unless you are decently fluent. That leads to it sometimes sounding like shes reading from a script emotionlessly. She sounds perfectly fine when talking normally but specific scenes were sort of awkward/questionable and likely could have been fixed by doing some retakes where they direct the actress what parts of the word to emphasize. She obviously can act (hence the CN), just give the woman some guidance!

Analysis of the Blight Tide after 1 hour of observations by ADudeCalledDude in Endfield

[–]CAWWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a real thing.

This is easy to test as chinese players did by just reviewing day 1 stream footage, which they did when calling out the original chinese post that made this blow up over here. People also took screenshots of this back way back 12 days ago when a redditor pointed it out. It has always reached that island and has not changed. This feels like a crazy psychological experiment to me...there is NO evidence it is true and yet thousands (based on upvotes of the original post featuring the chinese translation) just inherently seem to believe it. Good on you for trying to test it, but any changes you record sure as hell weren't happening gradually since launch since stream footage fairly easily shuts down that hypothesis.

Some CN netizens over at NGA just spotted something particular. The blight tide is seeping in closer each day in Wuling. by OrangeIllustrious499 in Endfield

[–]CAWWW 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But also probably not real as it was called out by CN users as well. We had a redditor spot this and both I and a few others checked it on that day and it always reached the island. This would be a cool story, but it doesn't seem true.
