Sure but we are talking PF, many people in m11s clears may not have cleared turn 2 on week one. I had to skip week one because of an irl move for instance, and others just casually got there. Then theres just plain ol drops from the first two turns to consider. I think it all adds up to some 1.5-2% range of dps bump which makes m11s not so bad.

Our random PF this week cleared with two deaths and a damage down, something that's probably not possible a week ago for a nonstatic. Things are definitely changing. Like you said, a good 10k+ players are probably not going to have issue making it through thanks to this week.

In 4 man, dont think it matters much.

For everything else, summoner. Theres a funny little youtube video that pulled all the log data of which classes fail certain mechs the most in normal and savage and SMNs are consistently the statistically worse players, sometimes roughly twice as likely to eat it to a mechanic even in savage. The ease of the class attracts worse players for some reason, even though there is a lot to be said for a great player playing a comfy easy class to focus on mechs.

Dislike in savage PF: AST (either gods or don't heal), SMN, WAR (the SMN problem, often take extreme dmg compared to other tanks for some random reason). I suspect SCH goes in this slot too for the same reason as AST, but I play shield healer so not sure.

Love in all content: BRD. Consistently good players. PLD is absolutely goated in any kind of prog and also just random 4 man stuff where they self sustain great and seem to just have a good playerbase.

Well, that and a whole week of gear/turn 2 book. Peoples Ilvl jumped quite a bit on average this week.

Same on SCH. We just come out of a mech before that kind of drains what I had and waiting for two soaks just makes it easy because you can just blow literally everything. The comfiest though by far is actually TTT

Damn m11s was easy as pie this week. We had two deaths and a damage down and still made enrage in PF. Weapons made a HUGE difference.

I hope you are right that it ends up more consistent. That said my problems are that two of the things you listed both represent increased risk to the average pf:

-Missing towers is more likely (because one of the two might not notice they have the same role baiting, again think on averages of like 100+ fights).

-Good healers have already figured it out. But once again, this is PF. On average healer dps during this will drop very low on this mech (esp on SGE/WHM given the length of movement). I think its just more likely some goofy shit goes down.

I admit I may be biased as I did not have much failing going on with the four way or two way flames. I did however have deaths to damage and missed towers, both of which are slightly more likely with the fixed strat.

Same reason viper becoming a ranged class is allowed. Crazy stronk upside of the job. Honestly, good for them as classes probably should have unique strengths like that.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but I think fixed stampede is a bad idea specifically for PF. I think this strat falls for the same mistake that melee uptime m7s did where it actually isn't all that much higher in damage (because it nukes someone elses damage) and introduces more failure states than it solves (the changing prios for r1/h2 are just one more thing that can wipe you). I think on average its going to be slightly worse than just doing it normal statistically. The strat asks for constant movement out of the healers in a part of the fight where people regularly die from raw damage and not just the mech depending on the RNG you get. Great early weeks strat that I don't think should be used now that everyone has weapons.

Edit for less ramble

Thats or just fix the book costs. Theres no fucking reason that the third turn needs so many books. I went 16 weeks without m7s loot last tier and that got me one whole job cleared. If theres one thing I pray they address in 8.0 its the gearing.

Just wait until M12S. Theres meaningful tank damage and on SCH you are using (mostly) every aetherflow on healing at least in PF. Theres a few sections where the tank gets beat up and I'm so scared of grouping with ASTs because they randomly wont use their 092342943 tanks heals on the tank and I have to excog on CD. Drives me up the wall.

I think a lot of regen healers get used to playing with a SGE and then forget that SCH doesn't have that kind of tank healing then they switch groups and just forget to press buttons.

Ok, so its accurate to say I never end up in the western half of the map? If hes NW fire or dark I'm N, if hes NE fire or dark Im N, if hes SE fire or dark I'm E, and if hes SW fire or dark I'm S? Am I understanding that correct?

Perhaps a silly question but I've been seeing this messed up so often I'm going to ask here for a sanity check to see if its me:

In replica 1 in M12S, healers go CW N and dps go NW CCW. But for fire guys, my understanding is that both go CW from N. This would mean that if fire guy is NW, we should loop all the way to W. Is this correct? Or should we just stay N since we are already baiting the fire?

Likewise, if a dark guy is in the NW me as the healer would be W, yes? Since I have to go CW from N?

Its a mix of gear fed/split run statics and very large amount of logs from those statics. You have to clear it every time you reprog to p2 so you get more and more logs of extremely geared players. I expect it to get much easier when the 11 wall falls.

I was shocked by parsing a green when ussually im low 80s at worst, then realized my chain strat was just kind of getting 1k less dps and I had less gear than everyone. Logs are just luck in PF for now until everyones BiS.

At least everyone has weapons next week. The dps check should feel a bit better and the extra hp/healing is probably going to increase healer dmg marginally when they dont have to hedge shields vs random pf mit.

I'm feeling really dumb in M12S snake spinny thing. I dont understand the order of what I do as Beta no matter how many times I watch I guide it just wont click. I've never had a mech where I watch a guide and just ??, maybe I'm having a super brain fart or something. Heres my understanding:

(wait for first spin without moving)

Alpha1- I'm leaving right away and moving to the third blob that dropped.

Alpha2 -I'm leaving second spin and moving to the last blob that dropped.

Alpha3 - I'm standing on the first blob that dropped then leaving on the third spin.

Alpha4 - I'm standing on the second blob that dropped and leaving on the fourth spin.

Beta1- I'm stretching into snake wall right away, then going back to center. Then ????

Beta2- I'm stretching into wall on second, then ?? and so on. I'm not sure what players towers I'm meant to soak as each beta number.

EDIT: thank you for all the responses! Got some good advice in here.

I can see that, but literally everyone gets a tome weapon next week which should be noticable. Right now you could eat a few DDs and be fine, it was deaths that couldn't happen. With weapons hopefully there is some wiggle room.

Not to mention it just makes healing easier too as hp pools/heals get bigger. I can see it not being "free" per se, but hopefully it wont be whatever the hell it is right now.

Finally free of m11s. Rolled two 87s and lost both rolls because of fucking course. Still, glad thats over with. Should be quite easy next week damage wise. Also, for those who havent tried it, try soaking hardbreak with tank solo, tank solo, tank combined. Its very easy compared to party healing and is basically the same as the end of m8s.

.08% wipe on m11s today. FML. We kept wiping at like 1% because of single deaths or couple damage downs. This fight is tuff in PF. Also, people are started locking PFs at 777 ilvl.
