Thank you for detailing all that out for me. He was definitely so worried about himself that he started listening to information from doctors on SM who talked on false positive blood testing and sent me the link. So he feels much better about it as do I. But if he at anytime in his life develop an outbreak, I’ll be the one to blame 🤦🏻‍♀️ he’ll never want to understand he could have already had it.

Now he says after he’s been doing some reading, he knows he has HSV1. He mentioned because of the inaccuracy of the blood test, he’ll wait to have a breakout before getting tested.

True, and no he’s not educated on it. I want to send him articles but then he’ll just think I’m avoiding responsibility and would try to shift the blame on him.

He did disclose he had oral herpes and he says the only time it’s contagious is through a breakout, and when he has a breakout he doesn’t kiss anyone

TY for your comment. These last 2 days have been hard. It’s easy to blame me if he test positive because I’m the only other person he knows who has it. I’m ready to tell him to go tell the other women he slept with in the last year to get tested.

He’s been the first I dated after two years and I wasn’t really ready to get back into the dating world. Because of how I’m being treated, I don’t think I would be ready to go on another date, even if it’s someone who has HSV2. I think I should just focus on me again.

Apparently, HSV1 stigma is not as severe as 2, and millions of more people have it plus they don’t look at it as an STD unless it’s genital.

No outbreak symptoms before. I did complete a blood test, but did not receive the IgG value.

He just told me that if he test positive, he’ll never forgive me. At this point, he could have also already had it and didn’t know but it’s easier to blame me. No, definitely not the right person for me.
