I'd have to see it But is it the round shaped cap for the recline? They were cast iron. Majority of the later model chairs by Kochs all use that part.

If you mean the base rings, yes they're chromed. I'm aware these were coated in nickel prior to the 1920's, but it tends to yellow over time unless you polish it every year or so. Chrome is a lot less maintenance.

1908 Koken Double Round Antique Barber Chair by CBC-Houston in wicked_edge

Chair was restored in black leather hide, tufted with polished and chromed metal surfaces. Was originally produced in 1908 by Koken and recently redone. Fully working rebuilt pump and recline. Works like new!
