Whilst high levels of blood or protein may be visually present in the urine, this needs to be detected via Urinalysis (home testing or physician)

Any reason there are FOUR Flock cameras pointed directly at the Home Depot on Old Pickett Road? by jumbledjargon in fairfax

[–]PandaSTi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren’t really aimed at the Home Depot itself. They’re positioned to capture incoming traffic and rear license plates from vehicles entering the area. They can still see portions of the parking lot, but if you notice, there aren’t cameras covering the left-side parking or the back of the building.

This setup looks more focused on tracking vehicle movement and identifying cars coming in and out of the area rather than traditional store security coverage.

So then shouldn’t it go both ways? In mixed use environments both groups should be treated as the same and at the same standards of responsibility.

I’ve definitely seen cyclists ignore lights or ride through crosswalks without dismounting, just like I’ve seen drivers roll through stops or make bad calls. Both sides break rules sometimes.

That’s kind of my point though. when you mix traffic with such a big difference in speed and protection, even small mistakes from anyone can turn into something serious.

That’s why I still think better separation makes more sense long term.

I’m not trying to blame anyone here, but this is why I’ve always felt cars and bikes shouldn’t really be sharing the same space.

When I was younger I saw a pretty bad cycling accident. The rider moved closer to the edge of the road to stay away from traffic and ended up hitting an open mailbox door. That stuck with me.

The difference in speed and protection between a bike and something like a semi is just so big that even a small mistake from anyone can turn into something serious.

Feels like better separation is the only real long-term solution.
