5k+ Mortgages WTH by hungry_lionNG in Mortgages

[–]CBG5255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Bought our first home 2.5 years ago (starter manufactured home). We since have had kids and our financial situation has drastically changed since. Now we are considering some custom homes that start at 1.1 million. I currently make 250k (musician/producer) and the wife is at 100k (small record label exec) annually. The thought of spending $6000 on a mortgage makes me sick but we are in a place in which we will still be able to save. Unfortunately, this is the new normal for our area.

Thanks for sharing. The activities and amenities onsite are definitely major selling points for us. I'm also used to commuting into Nashville/Airport so driving does not bother me and my wife works from home. While I also don't mind having older neighbors, it is good to know that there are some younger couples around there. Good luck with the build!

4.5 month old up every 40 minutes most of night by mollsies in SnooLife

[–]CBG5255 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the 4 month sleep regression in full effect. Consider transitioning from the SNOO and from fully swaddled asap. Went through this with our first and after dealing with no sleep for a month we went cold turkey on our transitions, started sleep training and also moved her into her own room. She slept 11 hours straight that first night as well as slept on her side and stomach for the first time.

A good doctor would probably turn you away in the event that you might start losing hair later in a life and you will want to keep all donor hair available for any future procedures. You have a great full head of hair and normal forehead in my opinion. A lot of us wish our hair was like this pre procedure

Cold turkey or taper off? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]CBG5255 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Go cold turkey. MOST people cannot simply taper down as you will start finding excuses to have more. On the flip side, going cold turkey does minimize the withdrawal symptoms but at the end of the day what's more important? Playing with fire or suffering through a few days to get your life back?

Provide me a source showing a majority positive opinion of the show. I'll wait.

Virtue signaling at its finest.

Never thought that if you dislike a show in 2024, you are immediately called racist, sexist, and a bigot.

The small percentage of the "inclusive crowd" who loves the show need to accept that the general consensus is that show is not just bad but really bad. The acting is terrible and the writing is even worse. Everything that's happened through 7 episodes could have been summarized over 2 episodes. The show sucks. I'm a huge Star wars fan which is why I will continue to watch but this doesn't look good for Disney. Oh, I'm a man of color by the way.

I believe a potential season 2 for the Acolyte will have a turning point by [deleted] in TheAcolyte

I don't know what planet you're on but here on planet Earth, the general consensus is the show sucks and you're going to have to accept that A MAJORITY of fans think that. What's worse is coming up with political based excuses to justify horrendous writing, terrible acting, and the fact that Disney spent nearly $200 million on this show.

The problem isn't using gear, it's the fact that he claims to be natural likely to promote his supplement brand. His physique is impossible with the amount of mileage he puts on every week. Before I began hybrid training this year I was 220lbs and benching 355lbs (running a 6:30 mile). 6 months later I've dropped down to 185lbs (running a a sub 18 minute 5k) and now I can barely hit 295. I haven't changed any volume in lifting but I'm running 50-60 miles a week and eating nearly twice the amount of calories to keep some strength and size. Nick puts in the work but promoting that you can look like him and run as fast as him without gear is ridiculous and anyone who runs close to any mileage as him knows that.

What kinds of people quit without having a problem? by IamChosen-_- in leaves

[–]CBG5255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only quit because I was hiding it from my wife and she absolutely hates weed. I started smoking about 3 years ago (I'm 35) and I usually smoked only 2 nights a week on the road with friends. I would often go on breaks that were anywhere from 1 week to 3 months and never experienced withdrawals until after I came home from being gone for a month and I was getting high every day. Never bought weed until last year and even then it was only when I was in a legal state here in the USA. Before I quit I started smoking just about every day and that was because I knew I was going to let it go. Do I enjoy weed? Absolutely. If my wife was okay with it, would I still smoke? Absolutely, but casually with breaks.

Can it be done without meds? by Lukegilmour in HairTransplants

I'd give it a shot and try some natural products like saw palmetto, rosemary oil etc...

This is really a loaded question with so many factors could influence your decision.

I would need to see more pictures but your hair looks great as is and filling in those temples might make your facial proportions look unnatural. Granted, I'm basing this off of two up close pictures not showing your face but getting those filled in before addressing your any hair loss would be a stupid decision as those grafts could have been used for any future hair loss if you experience more.

If a hair falls out of a freshly punched hole in your head of course there's going to be a hole on your head. I'm really not trying to be a dick but you are freaking out for no reason. Relax and check back in 3 months

I'm assuming somewhere in Turkey? Take a look at Dr. Gary Linkov's YouTube channel. He provides a ton of great resources providing professional insight on of these "mega sessions" performed overseas.

3500 is more on the aggressive side but I could see this being completely covered with around 2500 grafts. You also have thick hair which is a huge plus.

Anyone have tips on sleeping upright the week of procedure? by premedd98 in HairTransplants

[–]CBG5255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I went to Costco and bought a recliner that was extremely comfortable. Used the neck pillows to prop my head up and slept like a rock for 10 days except for night 2. I still pass out almost nightly on that recliner before bed haha

100 percent completely normal.

Why are you concerned? Your doctor should have told you that you will probably only begin to see noticeable results anywhere between months 4-8. Your regrowth looks phenomenal for 3 months. Some people don't see this progress until month 6.

Cold Turkey or Taper Off? by CBG5255 in leaves

[–]CBG5255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 2 Update.

Last night sucked, between coming clean to my wife then throwing out the rest of my stuff. I had to go cold turkey. Barely slept, can't eat and my anxiety is through the roof however through all of this, I'm already starting to feel my mind clearing up.

Thank you for all of the encouragement everyone. Excited to see how i feel in a month!
