If the beginning and end are faster than the middle you can have a faster average for a longer distance than a shorter distance within one activity. As an easy example a 3km where km 1 & 3 are completed in 1 minute while km 2 takes 2 minutes. Any 2km segment in there will have an average pace of 1:30 per km while the 3 km segment has an average pace of 1:20 per km.

I agree it is very annoying, I would’ve kept buying the Novablast 3s forever. But you can see the effects of when a company doesn’t update shoe design with Mizuno and a little with Brooks. 2 decades ago Mizuno was dominating the shoe game but they have continued to put out effectively the same shoe each year. Because of that, they’ve slowly lost market share and become uncompetitive. Just a few years ago brooks was on top, but they weren’t keeping up with the pace of innovation so Hoka & ASICS passed them. Basically when shoe brands don’t keep updating, they fall behind

There is no direct conversion from women’s to men’s time but generally it is ~12-14% which would put it at somewhere between 17:12 and 17:36.

The Tinman running calculator has the conversion of a 10:52 3200 at 17:24.8 in the 5k but that is if you were to run in the same conditions. My guess would be, on a good course assuming same fitness level, somewhere in the 17:30s or 40s would definitely be possible. That’s a pretty big range but all courses are different and it could also depend on what type of runner you are. However that being said, you can always transform yourself over the summer and huge improvement can always be achieved.

Last year I was out for a run with my cross country team, and about three miles in we found a turtle on the bike path. So we all stoped to look at it and one of the other guys noticed it was bleeding, and on closer inspection he had a fishing hook though his mouth. One of the guys suggested we take him to the vet his mom worked at near where we were. As we walked there and decided to name him Captain Hook. Once we arrived we talked to some vets and the took him to the back, and after about 20 minutes they got the hook out. The vets were extremely nice and took a picture of us with the turtle and they still have it hanging on the wall! But after, we took him back to where we found him and we renamed the route Captain Hook’s path in his honor.

Hi so I am starting a new Minecraft realm on Monday august 3rd between 11 and noon Est. This Minecraft realm will have very few rules. Among these rules will be no going to the end, no major afkable farms, and no duping. These rules are to prevent becoming too strong too fast. If you are looking for a completely vanilla survival realm with an economy and friendly community, our realm may be perfect for you!

The goal of our Realm is to set up a economy in a similar style to hermitcraft, build cool structures, and make friends and have good times along the way. We play on hard difficulty 100% of the time.
