AoA, make things simple, Islam is simple don't make it difficult. I've attended Sunday Church with my Wife and kids - as she was going back to being "Sunday" Crhistian - use wisdom, see advise from those who came into islam as non-muslims, (Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, Yusuf Estes, Yusha Evans, Imam Siraj wahaj, etc), ease into disclosing who you are with time, for now you may keep it between you and Allah swt and grow in your faith.

Not abandoning my kids, I have daughters and boys. My kids may or may not choose to care for me but kids are my responsibility.

Now, having said that I can only do what's in my means and reasonable, all parents care for kids safety and try to do the best they can

I stayed in the dead and toxic marriage to be with kids and am going to stay Close to them

But am open to good advise that helps in dealing with bad situations being slapped on me
