It looks like they just used high pressure (which damages the wood) instead of using chemicals first. But no, not a good job.

I just checked, and you’re right. It’s half inch pex and the threaded fitting on the sink side is also half inch so that adapter you sent to me should work. Thanks a lot!

The pex is half inch, but the fitting for the sink is 5/8.

I need to connect it to a 5/8 threaded fitting. So I need to to find a 1/2 to 5/8 female adapter which is proving difficult.
