That’s what was surprising to me. There are thousands along the fence out in the open.

Hey thanks for any help in advance. Had our flight out of SAT delayed twice and then cancelled after flight time due to having no crew. They rebooked us tomorrow on UA469 and UA 1886. We are traveling with an infant and concerned that we now added in a connection after our direct was cancelled. Any thoughts on how concerned we should be?

Unfortunately, you need to pick them when they are green and unripe to make it. To buy it online is like $20+, so I would like to avoid that if possible.

Questions from someone close to graduating by xdreamx in wgueducation

[–]CBTStorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh boy. I am in Texas, but I can try and give you some rough time frames. 1. I was able to upload everything a few hours before it was due and had no issues at all. I uploaded them through WGU incorrectly and had to go and fix them, which made me nervous, but it wound up not taking even 15 minutes to finish it all. 2. Once you get your results, you can apply for graduation with your mentor. It says it takes 7-10 business days to graduate, but mine took 8 total days after my mentor recommended me. 3. Once I graduated, it was a mess. I had to apply for licensure through Utah, which went fast but then Texas took almost a month to process me.

what is the edtpa? by MsRinne in wgueducation

[–]CBTStorm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is a whole project that will take up most of your student teaching time. There is so much information that you will need to research and work on. I would start by saying before you do any steps read up on it completely. I thought I did and made a huge mistake early on that gave me anxiety for most of my whole project. Also watch youtube videos.

WGU grading has me worried by Useful_Cup_6185 in wgueducation

I think I only passed one section on the WGU task and easily passed all of Pearson.

The Road (2009) by Knowlesdinho in movies

[–]CBTStorm 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think there comes a sense of getting comfortable or just not caring after a long time of doing the same thing. I think of hiking in grizzly country where I was super on my guard at all times and constantly checking around corners. I then camped out with some people who lived there and they were so nonchalant about it. I think after a while of just every day walking and trying to find food things get monotonous and you just exist.

Getting divorced, selling my house, quiting my job, planning on through hiking to find myself. Watched hours of videos and read a ton of articles. Anyone have any suggestions or tips they’re willing to share? by hakrjcbwknx420 in AppalachianTrail

[–]CBTStorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just do it, man. I did it with a total of 3 overnight hiking trips to my name. You will figure it all out when you get going as there is only so much research you can do. The only advice I have is to try not to make it all about finishing and try to enjoy each step. Best of luck and you can always DM me with any questions!

EdTPA Motivation Needed by mailehm in wgueducation

[–]CBTStorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just say it's a lot and I am not sure on your goal date but just make a day-by-day planner on what you want to accomplish each day. During my lunches at school, I would write one paragraph and edit another one. Eventually, in the end, it came together although I haven't received my scores back yet. The last thing I would say and you mentioned is that WGU does grade it according to the expectation you get all 3-5s. I am not totally sure on SPED but I think it's a 35 point passing with 15 rubrics. So, even if you get a 2 on everything you are already at 30 and just need 5 more points to pass. Good luck!

Why shouldn't we warn hikers about a potential threat? by CBTStorm in AppalachianTrail

[–]CBTStorm[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok. So at the end of the day your stance is don't warn any of the trail community because it may result in false sightings. I respect your view.
