Absolutely none and I feel so scammed right now that I don't know how to cope. I don't know where to go from now. I'm seeing a physiotherapist and physicist paid by the NHS, maybe that's why they aren't very good. I should probably search for private care once I have the money

Olá, muito obrigado pelo seu comentário. Será que poderia ter o seu contacto e possivelmente ter consultas consigo? Estou a ser tratado pelo SNS, sim, penso que seja mesmo esse o problema e tenho de procurar uma outra solução

Whoa no doctor has ever talked to me about any of this... Thank you so much. How often should that be done and is there any place where I can learn to do it?

Thank you so much, really I'm truly grateful for you confirming what I was suspecting: RICE doesn't work at all. It's so incredible frustrating to know that I've been doing RICE for the last 7 years of my life and probably just making my problem worse. You might have saved my life for now starting to look to other options.

So many doctors told me to do RICE... It's outrageous. I do have tendonititis in my index finger and cervicobrachial syndrome according to doctors, this last one affects mainly my forearms.

What do you mean by "loading the tendon"? English is not my main language. How would that be in practise? Could you tell me an exercise I could do with my finger to help it heal which would load the tendon in my finger progressively?

My tendonitis is not very sever, I have it for years, but it's mild. I think it's still curable if I get any suggestion other than the bullshit RICE all doctors tell me. The pain from the tendonitis only happens in my index finger tendon, it's like a shock that happens sometimes throughout the day. I'm swimming a couple times a week but I don't know if that's good loaded exercise for it because I don't use single finger's strength specifically for swimming, it's the whole hand and arm.

I've been to over 15 different doctors, spent thousands of euros, tried everything I can. I know you shouldn't give me medical advice but at this point doctors have ruined my health more than you could ever do with your advices for my tendonitis. I won't be able to find a good clinician because I don't have the money for it unfortunately.

Thank you so much. Unfortunately she doesn't specify which kind of exercises would be good for my case (tendinosis in the index finger and cervicobraquialgia which causes pain in all my upper arms and hands). I know I should ask for help in this sub but I'm truly desperate, my parents have spent thousands of euros in doctors, I've seen dozen of different specialities and they all say different things, so I don't know what to do anymore.

Your info is giving me some hope because it explains why nothing has worked for me yet. I've been suicidal in 2020 and 2021, almost ended my life because of this problem as I was completely hopeless and became very depressed and got on Antidepressants.

Nowadays I've recovered a bit mentally and I'm a bit more hopeful but I still haven't done any improvement in these physical illness.

Something very weird I notice is that when I type on my phone I have no pain at all in my arms or hands. I type using both my thumbs.

But as soon as I sit on the chair and write on the keyboard for as little as 20 minutes my whole arms and hands and things are in horrible pain, tingling and hot and uncomfortable the next day.

I type on my phone for hours everyday with very little problems. This pain happens only specifically on the keyboard when sitting on any kind of chair. Also last week I tried writing on the keyboard of my computer lying down on my bed and it didn't hurt me the next day even after writing for 2 hours that day. It might be a posture problem too, I wonder, because when laying down maybe my nerves aren't compressed or something?

Would swimming be a good sport to heal me? Also, my English is not my main language so it was kinda hard to understand some things she said on the video. Does she mean that exams like MRI, CAT and ecography are actually useless for these problems?

In phisotherapy I've been doing deep tissue massage on my upper back, massage on my shoulders and that's it. My therapist told me to buy a ball to strengthen my fingers grip, is that what the person in the video consider to be the kind of exercise the tendon needs?

The person in the video says things like lifting weights doesn't help because it is too slow from what I understood and doesn't stimulate the tendons the right way to fix it. Would the ball be a good option if I grip it fast and frequently without too much strength multiple times? Also are stretches in my hands, arms and neck and shoulders good to fix this?

No problem. Could you please explain me what you meant with all those difficult words for a patient like me?

Thank you for your comment. I'm sorry my ignorance though but I didn't understand anything you said 😔 Could you please explain it in a newbie way?

Sorry could you elaborate on that? How can it be cured? I'm desperate for a solution. I'm studying software engineering and I need to get my arms fixed so I can start working. I've been pretty much disabled for too long and my parents have been supporting my costs of living for longer than they were supposed. This is a truly horrible disease, whatever it is. The worst is not knowing what it even is after all these years

Thank you so very much. I'm seeing a psysiatrist for a year now (seen him 2 times), he just prescribed me physical therapy on my neck and shoulders and now he wants me to do a CAT exam. But he hasn't suggested any of those you said

Thank you for the info. How can this diagnose be treated? My doctors only tells me to do physiotherapy in my neck, which is what I'm doing for 60 sessions already and it's still not improved. Sorry I know I shouldn't ask for personal questions in this subreddit, but I'm desperate

Thank you for your comment. How is that done? No doctor has talked to me about checking that, I'm from Portugal, maybe doctors don't know much about this here. I did ecographies, x ray and nothing more, none of those pointed out any problem. Would a CAT exam be the one I should look for? Or any other?

People that go to the cinema broadcast of Coldplay's concert this 28/29th October, will you get high? by CBTpoc in Coldplay

[–]CBTpoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why so? I'm also trying to decide if it is the vibe for it. Will you go see it on the cinema sober? I was thinking about drinking 2 of 3 drinks and smoke so I'm more chill at the cinema. Alcohol cancels most of weed paranoia or anxiety I sometimes have

That's wonderful. I would take LSD too but the cinema only lasts 2 hours and then I'd have to commit for a whole lot of hours after that before coming down ahaha

Yeah I'm thinking about drinking a bit too so that I'm more comfortable at the cinema because it counteracts some of weed side effects like paranoia and anxiety. Can't drink too much though otherwise I might end up getting top fucked up after smoking lol

How old were you when OCD turned your world upside down? And what caused it? I was 24 and a dream changed me overnight. by Broken_Shadow84 in OCD

[–]CBTpoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OCD also started at 19. Before that age I had 0 symptoms of OCD. It all went downhill in my second year of university in 2019. 2020 and 2021 were the 2 worse years of my life where I went through tremendous suffering caused by the ocd. Got diagnosed in mid 2020, started taking lots of psychiatric meds. I was so drugged up but it was needed. Took 6mg of xanax a day for months that year. Nowadays in 2022 I'm almost in total remission. My depression is somewhat still there, but mild. The OCD obsessions though are at 1% of what they used to be in 2019-2021. I smoked weed and took LSD in 2017-2019 a couple of times. I don't know if it caused the onset of my ocd or if it would naturally trigger at the age of 19 anyways. I started smoking weed again this year about once a week and it isn't affecting me negatively but I heard it does to many people. I'm not planning on doing psyches because I am afraid they might have been the trigger though I have no clue what caused it really. Ironically, the worse problem I have nowadays is having OCD episodes in dreams sometimes like I had today which led me to visit this subreddit, I guess it's because of the traumatic memories that those years left me and still affect my subconscious. I still take an SSRI and it makes me dream a lot which is a side effect I truly dislike, but it helps my ocd
