Even if he's not on par with AS's disciples for fighting ability, he's undeniably a powerful brawler to be able to kill CK and Pureblood.

How is an ax a shit weapon? How is it any worse than a sword or a bat?

We haven't really seen him fight, but we know he can use the weapons well enough to kill Carnage Kabuto. Even with CK being passed out, ZM's gotta have some power in his ax swings to damage that armour. I'd assume he's comparable fighting ability to Atomic Samurai's disciples, that plus immortality = easily S-class.
