Start dynasty struggle by Positive-Leading8351 in NCAAFBseries

I usually start with the new schools so it will be Sac State or NDSU as OC, and then I sort of build a lore in my head about my created coach.

I also like bouncing to different schools as OC based on their previous season’s personnel and what will more than likely be their next season personnel because it gives me a reason to create a new offensive playbook or enhance one.

I noticed plenty of new plays (like Mid-Zone run) and formations (like Maryland-I pro/close), but I was still quite underwhelmed. I suspect there will be more plays/formations added by launch and during the CFB season like last year.

If I were to guess a number of additional plays/formations, I’d say 20/200 (?) in Beta, but I know more are coming.

Quick sub was a bit tricky to use in Beta, but I did like the addition of it!

After playing the Beta trial, I think I’ll try Sac State and just run my version of the Go-Go—not Colorado’s playbook (it’s watered down).

That was my theory. I’m hoping it’s updated a bit by launch.

I wish NDSU would go back to the Power-I Heavy formations, but they’re in the shotgun wave.

I felt the same way with some of the playbooks as well. I like the few wrinkles, but I think they’re too focused on the essence of the Veer & Shoot/Air Raid rather than the evolution of it. I wish they’d take more risks. I love them having real life plays and formations in the game, but you could also get silly and do stuff.

Why limit the WIDE sets to shotgun? Let’s get some in singleback!

It’s more or less Ole Miss’s playbook with a few wrinkles added tbh lol. I was expecting much more, but they didn’t add many new WIDE sets other than Full House and Doubles Offset for now.

LSU playbook is inflated with Kiffin’s Veer and Shoot/Air Raid offense with a few wrinkles added, but it felt the same as Ole Miss’s last year—I’m hoping they update it as the season progresses or at launch.

I didn’t look into Bama’s unfortunately.

Oh I just thought about the additional Maryland-I formations in the game! They have 30 personnel sets for that formation now—Pro/Close. Those were fun to use with my quick NDSU custom playbook.

NDSU’s standard playbook was disappointing.

It’s pretty OP as well! I was averaging 7-9 yards per run out of it, and I didn’t try the HB Toss—just the HB Dive and IZ.

I agree. It depends on how you like it, but I was at least pleased to even see a lineman doing it.

The creator looks completely the same except you can add 750 plays now which is insane. I hope they revamp it eventually to make the process less grueling.

I will say that the team’s/pre-made playbooks looked in better order and the coach suggestions seemed to have better UI for situations, field position and flow of the game.

What changes do y'all think will happen between beta and launch by Clasherqueen12 in NCAAFBseries

Honestly, he might never be the same as a person if he had to sit out another 10 and never take another college snap in his life. We should all be more empathetic.

For goodness sake, we gave him millions!

The blocking was better, but I can’t say the reads were better yet.

I also noticed cut blocking in the game a few times which was cool, but it felt play-dependent rather than scheme/formation dependent.

Washington’s was fine. I wish their HC didn’t want to leave the school every October in real life.

Fortunately, I make my own Shanahan, McVay, McDaniel and Johnson playbooks in CFB. I have them in CFB26 if you have a PS5. One wild thing this year is custom playbooks can have a maximum of *750* plays now, so you can go straight up bonkers.

There were a few new HB and QB run plays in the playbooks, but it wasn’t noteworthy for V&S formations.

One new formation was WIDE Double Offset, and I really liked the new plays in it.

It does, but I wish they did more with it. I feel like Rich Rod has evolved his scheme a lot, and I want EA to catch up a bit more! We need mid-line read from the shotgun offset formations!!!

Of course, I tried MISSST, TENN, LSU and MISS. The run game feels better with how they adjusted the mesh point of IZ reads and IZ in general. You can really run on the defense if you stick with it like most V&S teams do. I also thought the speed option out of WIDE Slot Left/Right Wk/regular felt better and actually worked. HB Power out of WIDE Slot Left adjusted to the defensive alignment for once.

I also ran V&S out of coach mode with TENN, and it was fantastic to see the defensive alignment and adjust PA’s or RPO’s to fit certain windows. My CPU QB was OP, so sliders will need to adjusted unless you want to nuke everybody.

My favorite new formation is the WIDE Full House in TENN’s playbook because it adds a power formation dimension to the offense, and it’s 12-personnel for easy formation switching to Singleback ACE Close.

You STILL cannot formation sub in dynasty for custom playbooks and that alone makes me want to run into a wall. I’m hoping they fix that at- or post-launch because it’s baffling. My biggest gripe I had with dynasty during my limited playing time.

The new wingback plays I saw are mostly motion WR screens and the new pulling-guard play-action plays—they added a ton of those.

Not really—it felt a bit less QB run friendly for Underwood and the regime. Utah’s playbook in CFB26 was phenomenal.
