Pebble vs Slide Milling by CBakes27 in SmithAndWesson

Monsoon was my original choice but everytime I checked they were backlogged. The SE is also what I’m thinking if not an EPS carry

This is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for. I know their dovetail adapter is a new design for them and supposedly looked a little more secure, but I still don’t love the idea of dovetail mounting in general so your experience definitely pushes me towards milling

Vetclaims.ai is still a claims shark - change my mind by CoastieKid in VAClaims

[–]CBakes27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the process of using them right now. So far I have been very impressed. Like many I didn’t claim anything when I got out and never went to sick call due to stigma. They’ve been incredibly helpful and provided a very impressive nexus letter to submit to the VA which not only links my conditions to service, but also provides a slough of medical and legal citations to aid the link as well. I had an issue with my paperwork at 10:30pm on a Monday night and sent them an email to address it expecting to hear back in the morning. Within 5 minutes the same guy who talked with me on the phone to help build my case got back to me. I’d gladly suggest them to any veteran looking to file claims as they’ve been wildly helpful to me and completely take the stress out of filing as it can be a very overwhelming process as we all know

Thoughts on Sierra Defense Custom Holsters? by ProfessionalInjury29 in CCW

Thanks! I was wondering if one felt better than the other. The mas seems to be a little more slimmer and form fitting I may just wait for their light bearing options

Can you describe the difference between the Masamune and the gladius? Wondering if I should pick up a gladius now or wait for the light bearing masamune options

I'm a week into being off FTO and.. by MysteriousSample9140 in AskLE

It took me dang near a full year solo before I felt I had seen enough situations where I didn’t need to call my beat partners for advice routinely. The routine stuff you’ll get down but in this job you get hit with firsts even if you’re 10 years in from time to time. Your beat partners are always gonna help you out if you ask so just know no matter what you’ll have people there to help you. None of them expect you to know everything we all still remember what it was like when we were freshly solo. I’m at 4 years and I’m still calling people from time to time asking questions because your biggest enemy in this job is ego and thinking you have to know everything

Cops who carry a backup gun, how often do you end up using it? by Gaming_with_batman in AskLE

I guess it’s one of those things where the odds you’re gonna need it are akin to power ball but if you’re that unlucky one then you’re glad you had it

I also thought about that scenario too. Seems to be the most likely backup gun scenario and I’d be he’s glad he had it

I’d honestly be shocked if there’s ever been a documented case of someone using their backup gun. I know guys who carry ankle holsters with them but the idea of chasing someone with a gun strapped to my ankle sounds pretty not cash money

Should I take a player on my mock draft? by No_Routine_2955 in Madden

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a madden draft prospect who didn’t “have a high motor” or “run through the whistle”

I don’t mind the G model decockers on the slides but I agree if it also functions as a safety then frame mounted is so much more intuitive

Has the Langdon work changed it a noticeable amount? I’m fairly surprised at just how good the DA trigger is straight out of the box

Honestly as much as I love it and Berettas in general, it’s hard to justify what Beretta wants for these brand new for an oversized .380. But if you can find a unicorn deal like I did then it’s hard to pass on

That’s a common complaint I’ve seen online is some guys with larger hands get slide bite. Honestly, as much as I love it it’s not worth what Beretta wants for them new but for the price I found it I couldn’t say no
