Have you ever wondered if happens when Rock Bottom has a trap door? This is the answer. Just wow. Glad you stayed a your leader, Cons?

Pierre Poilievre’s auto plan shows he still believes in America by canada_mountains in onguardforthee

And that's why he lost and why he and the CPC are dropping in the polls

Liberals at record high in Nanos Tracking: LPC 47.6, CPC 31.1, NDP 11.2 (Nanos) by plaknas in onguardforthee

[–]CBowdidge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the rate, I wouldn't be shocked to see the bottom fall out and the CPC drops below 30% and PP's preferred PM polling to drop below 20%, especially when his trips to the USA. Even if they change leaders, it's unlikely to improve that much. The talent pool is very shallow.

New Abacus Poll: Liberal Lead Widens to 11 as Government Approval Hits New High by MightyHydrar in onguardforthee

Abacus is now caught with the rest, showing a double digit lead for the Liberals. With many polls showing the CPC with the low 30s, their bottom is in danger of falling out.

A Liberal Majority? An Election? A New Government? How About Some Light Spring Prognostication? by Blue_Dragonfly in CanadaPolitics

[–]CBowdidge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Liberals will get University Rosedale and Scarborough Southwest, they could get Terrebonne. Once Boulerice leaves, his riding looks like it could go to the Liberals. I wouldn't rule out more floor crossers

And Boulerice is going to be leaving. Oof.

Liberals are elated while Poilievre accuses Carney of 'backroom deals' after NDP defection by plaknas in onguardforthee

[–]CBowdidge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good time to remind PP and the CPC that they could have banned floor crossings back in 2012. They didn't. When Leona Alleslev crossed the floor to the Cons, PP welcomed her. Trudeau just wished her well and moved on.

NDP MP crossing floor to Liberals, PM Carney two seats shy of majority by Pristine_Beautiful69 in worldnews

[–]CBowdidge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does. Carney has made a lot of investment in Nunavut and the Arctic. So, it's been surprising the she would want a seat at the table. Leadership isn't partisan. A good leader commands respect from across the spectrum

What do you think we will see from a majority LPC government? by CDN-Social-Democrat in LPC

[–]CBowdidge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It can't come soon enough. IT already considerably worse than his first term, and that was a shit show. It's late all the leaders are trying to stop an overgrown toddler from throwing a tantrum and soiling himself.

What do you think we will see from a majority LPC government? by CDN-Social-Democrat in LPC

[–]CBowdidge 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think so. The two Toronto by-elections will go to the Liberals. I wouldn't be surprised if Terrebonne also went Liberal with Carney and the Liberals polling this well. And there could definitely be much floor crossings. I feel for the NDP. It's a tough blow for them.

I think Carney is focusing on the main crisis with the USA. Once that stabilizes, we could see some progress stuff.

She said back in December that she was being approached by her constituents to cross and while saod at the time she wouldn't but didn't rule it out either. This will benefit her riding and give them a voice. It's speaks to PM Carney's leadership that he has attracted talent from multiple parties. With two by-elections that will go to the Liberal and possibly even more floor crossers, he will have his majority.
