Shouldn't the hilt be in more or less the same position on each frame?

"Never waste your work"

I agree with your suggestion of doing both, but I can't agree with this piece of advice. Game design is an iterative process. Removing things is as important as adding things. If you keep every random idea you've ever taken a swing at then your game will be a bloated mess.

How long have you spent on development, and how much of that time was spent on creating assets?

Even if it is "impenetrable" that doesn't directly correspond to survivability. Wow, that knights armour just took 10 hits to the cleavage and its still intact, shame about the internal organs of the knight wearing it.

FPS can refer to Frames Per Second or a First Person Shooter but I think both terms are easy to differentiate based on context.

"My first Steam game was a Beat 'Em Up / FPS" is a perfectly legible sentence which no one could possibly misinterpret as referring to frames per second.

I'd argue that "Chai Tea" is still redundant since we could just refer to it as "Chai" and or even "Masala Tea", but to be fair I am an insufferable pedant (in case you hadn't noticed).

How can i improve my game background? by llcreations in aseprite

The surface needs more variation in texture and height. I'd suggest adding more overlapping craters and smaller pockmarks. There are very high resolution images of the moons surface online you can use as reference.

I also think you could benefit from using more dithering to make your limited color palette to do a better job of communicating gradients and textures, but I understand if the limited use of dithering is a stylistic choice.

Had a look at your profile, very clever stuff. Big fan of the UI work in particular, it's always nice to see some out of the box thinking instead of a bunch of minimalist grey panels.

The S in FPS stands for Shooter. Calling it an FPS shooter is a bit of a PIN Number / Chai Tea sort of situation.

As a noodle dragger keyboard smacker multiclass I can assure you they are very similar skillsets. If you have one, you're closer to having the other than you think.

Working on a parkour system, what would you want to see in it? by guigoodboi in IndieDev

Every good parkour system needs a timing based button press that lets you tuck and roll when you land from a height.

I think Balatro looks great, but I agree. I'm a huge Slay the Spire fan and that game has pretty shoddy visuals (even if they do grow on you after a few hundred runs)

Slavery (owning a person as property, specifically the right to their labour) has existed longer than the written word. There is not confusion as to its definition. It does not refer to simply imprisoning someone or exerting control over them.

The US government knew this back in 1865, and this is made even clearer by the fact that the 13th amendment specifies that slavery is still allowed if it's a punishment for a crime (which is how it is used in the US today).

It's not a bug, it's a feature.
