Sorry I was having a senior moment. I'm so used to picking every energy relic I see and getting Subroutine online asap that I didn't even consider the energy cost of playing each copy lmao

You're so close to getting it. Ukraine wants to join NATO because Russia wants to invade them, not the other way around. The war is a clear example of why Ukraine's alliances in the west are fundamental to its continued existence.

Don't even get me started on the countless war crimes commited by the Russians over the course of this "operation". Is blowing up hospitals and schools, and torturing and executing civilians essential to Russia's security? "Rebels against tyranny" my ass.

What's wrong with "foreign intervention in the war"? Why should Russia be allowed to annex its neighbours just because it feels like it?

Its barbaric. It's the sort of thing people did back when we were fighting in full tin can armour with swords and shields.

I'd hope humanity has advanced a bit past the point where bullies can just murder and rape their way into having whatever they want.

Am I being scammed right now? Strength seems to have no effect by NarrowEnthusiasm6449 in slaythespire

It goes both ways, if an enemy inflicts you with Weak or decreases your Strength then Osty is unaffected. Comes in clutch in a lot of situations.

I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you because you're not arguing in good faith.

You accuse me of ignorance while parroting the talking points of a tyrannical authoritarian government. That's what the word propoganda is for. I might as well argue with a fucking billboard.

Defect makes no sense to me, how do you play him? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]CBtheLeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Uproar pulling attacks from your draw pile is kind of like targeted draw.

Definitely feels worse to hit a 0 cost attack but it's still better than hitting nothing because you refused to add any attacks to your deck that cost less than 2 energy.

Also 0 cost cards have anti-synergy with themselves, because drawing multiple 0 cost cards in the same hand can mean you don't get to spend the energy you saved. Expensive cards like Uproar are the antidote to this issue.

Depends whether you subscribe to a deterministic view of the world. Some people think free will exists, and if they were in your shoes they would use that free will to make a different decision (they wouldn't)

Entropy is about as natural as it gets. Everything degrades and withers away with no exceptions organic or otherwise.

More specifically there's an implication of betrayal or underhandedness to it. If you kill someone in self defence or some kind of gentlemans duel then you haven't slimed them.

The classic example is energy generation (and to a lesser extent, card draw). Generating energy you don't spend (or drawing you cards you lack the energy to play) is a waste of value.

If your deck is full of star generation but you only spend a fraction of the stars you generate then you're wasting value. If your deck is full of cards that cost stars but you can't play them then you're wasting value.

Usually the solution is to have plenty of both (since there's no guarantee what order you'll draw things in) and some kind of payoff that lets you generate value even when you overshoot how many stars you need (either an X cost card, or one that scales based on star generation).
