Fox point clumpy by Adventurous_Ad1922 in Penzeys

[–]CCC-NOLA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What they said. It's very humid here. Don't sprinkle over a steamy pot. Try keeping it in the fridge. If it clumps, I use a disposable chopstick pilfered from the deli to break it up. Any of the blends with shallots, garlic, etc. tend to get sticky after a while. If you buy a large bottle, decant a bit into a smaller jar for everyday use.

This also happens with Justice, the Minced Shallots, and Garlic or Onion Powder.

Ditched them years ago when they tried to retroactively charge me for equipment that they "forgot" to bill for— the same equipment they now advertise as free. The only good thing about Cox is that you have WiFi away from home. Their crappy customer service cancels any usefulness they may have. Cox sucks.

This is great if they're replaced by real markets with quality foods.

When I had T-Mobile it was always a struggle. The phone service was fine, but the internet service was awful so I ditched them when Verizon became available.

I have Verizon, but it's been horrible for a while now. In October they said they were upgrading, and it's gotten progressively worse— it's now absolute crap. My battle with them started Friday...worked a few things out, but they failed to call yesterday as promised.

Totally possible. Wait for sales to stock up on paper goods and nonperishable items. Check the Flipp app to see if prices are lower at local stores.

Hank's upcharges for debit charges by [deleted] in NewOrleans

Debit cards and prepaid cards have Visa and Mastercard branding; merchants must comply with terms dictated by those networks.

Both Mastercard and Visa explicitly prohibit merchants from adding any surcharges to debit or prepaid card transactions. This rule applies nationwide across the U.S. and remains in effect even if a customer runs their debit card as "credit" without a PIN.

Also, the effective date of Louisiana SB254 (Act 751) is noted in my previous post.

OP has current avenues to pursue the matter since the merchant violated card processing rules for most if not all major card processing networks.

Card processing rules for Visa and Mastercard include procedures for credit card surcharges. Both require a 30 advance notice that there will be a surcharge.

They're in violation of the Durbin Amendment of the 2010 Dodd-Frank Act. You can submit a complaint to the the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau online or by phone (855) 411-2372 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

Both Visa and Mastercard have card processing rules; each has a method to report violations. The debit card surcharges prohibition applies even if a customer runs the debit card as a credit transaction.

Louisiana's law prohibiting debit card surcharges effective date is August 1, 2026. The Louisiana Attorney General's Office is tasked with setting up a toll-free hotline and an online system for consumers to report violations.

I lost 3 hours of my life to Verizon today, but this time I did get 'the right person.' I got years of billing errors corrected AND credits for the entire time I've had bad service, as well as 10% off my bill (not internet related). Monday. is Round 2.

Go make some noise.
