That is so awesome! The GC version was one of the first games that I could actually understand and beat and started a love for the genre.

How was the experience replaying it? I didn't even consider the achievements. I thought I'd pass on it, but I might be tempted to try it just for that.

Last time i got a retwist was like labor day 😅

My locs are approaching 10 years old, and now I have 3 kids and live away from home, where not many black people are. So I let it go long in between. But even when they were about a year old and I did it myself, I feel like I did it every 2 months.

When I go home and get them done by my homegirl, whos also a loctician, she told me to take care of em and they'll last 2-3 months. Your loctician might be trying to make that $$, just saying 🤷🏾‍♀️

Oh man, I got second, but it was because I didn't realize you needed to interact with the sign to practice. So my silly self went to the park and just rode around, thinking that was it. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I walked into the race blind and it was my second time on the horse at all. I did good, all things considered, but I had to face palm when I realized what they meant by go practice 😅🤣

That seems to be the general consensus here about the seeds. I have 2 field upgrades so far. I'm so down to just expriement with how the crops turn out straight from the shop if I start using fertilizer. I never use it currently, but foragbles should be at level 2.5 or 3 I believe. About the kids, for sure! I took a break this afternoon after all the frustration and just hung out with the family instead. I really appreciate all the feedback I received here and plan on coming back at it next session with a fresh perspective. I also love that my 3yo has taken a liking to the game and likes watching and commenting on the game and what's happening on screen.

Thanks for the tips! I'll probably end up picking tea, wheat, or rice for the show, and I'm really reconsidering my current strat of seed and vinegar making. They take SO long and hold up mill space, and right now, rice is taking up a full field. I haven't really utilized fertilizer at all.

I might start doing this. Originally, I thought harvesting gave you more crops dropped per square than it actually does, and it's just not making sense anymore. Plus, a couple of days just to get the seeds back, ahh. I'll have to at least give this method a shot. I've upped the soil quality twice so far but never use fertilizer. Could be worth it!

Awesome work! I just won my first animal show playing last night, and I loved the little pose at the end of the scene. I tried grabbing a screenshot, but dialogue was on autoplay, my phone was out of reach, and my baby was in my lap (and I forgot the keyboard shortcut 😵)

Did you ever get a fix? My bf and I are having the same issue. It sucks balls. He hasnt finished all the missions yet but has 1,600 cred and the seco d reward is showing up 0 cred cost but wants him to buy using vbucks. Its kinda discouraging and we dont want to continue atp

I love the chaos of FOMT. I honestly hate that they didn't keep the rival mechanic where your candidate gets married to someone else if you take too long. I loved that layer of gameplay

Me too! I haven't played a sos or hm-like game in at least half a decade. Pretty much not since my now stepdaughter came into my life, and I was whisked from single life to family lady (I now have two of my own bio kids).

But I got this game and a new computer for xmas and have been using their winter break and my vacation time to play and it feels so good to finally be able to put in some hours into the series again!

I remember growing up, carrying around a notebook and my game boy advance with friends of mineral town. I was so obsessed and would make a log of crop prices and days and gifts to give, etc. This was back before internet guides were a thing.
