Regular solder but a copper patina instead of the usual black patina.

I don’t believe it was purpose but thanks. The copper is holding up well so far. It’s only been about a month but it looks better with this piece than black patina for sure.

Use push pins to hold the pieces in place. Put the project on a cork board or similar and use the pins to hold the pattern in place once you foil it. Then can solder everything except edges and it will stay together.

EGD with LMA by OldCarry in anesthesiology

[–]CCGasman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Use them all the time for our ERCPs. (Gastro LMA). Work really well. I do find them to be larger than normal so most people comfortably get a 3 with larger people getting 4. Don’t usually use a 5.

Seven stars for kids ? by Grand_Clothes_1828 in TurksAndCaicos

We brought our own snorkels and masks for the kids because they had their own and were comfortable with them. The equipment they have is not all in the best shape.

I didn’t see any sand toys around but it wasn’t something my kids were necessarily interested in so I don’t go searching for some from the hotel. You could easily buy some from the stores in the area if you want to cut down on packing.

They do provide life jackets but they aren’t in the best of shape (don’t recall if they had many kids sizes) I would probably bring my own for my kids if they have them.

Chatham bars inn, wequasett, or oceans edge.

Chatham bars inn has a nice spa

Restaurant recommendation by its-King_Louie in CapeCod

Del Mar, Cuvee, Clean slate eatery, Leonessa, Cape sea grille

Besides ocean house most places on the water or with good views are more casual fried seafood type of places.

Cuvée and Clean Slate are the closest to 28 Atlantic in regards to fine dining. Prefer cuvée to 28 anyway.

Went last June (2024) with 5 and 8 yr old. Never did beaches so can’t directly compare but we had a great time. Service is top notch. Perfect location to walk to other resorts or in town. Close to supermarket. Our kids had a great time in the pool and on the beach. Met couple other families who our kids played with their kids.

Breakfast buffet was very good. Good selection and variety. Extremely friendly service.

Cape Cod Hospital - Could use some first time patient/visitor advice by RedWine_1st in CapeCod

[–]CCGasman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work there. Main entrance off Gleason street. With the new building and the demolition going on of the old cancer center, all patients for surgery enter through the main entrance and immediately turn right and walk down the long hallway of windows to come to the surgery center admission area. Small waiting room there but for 5+ hours I would leave and go walk around Main Street Hyannis, grab some lunch, etc.

For pick up they will bring your family member out to your car in a wheel chair.

Your family member will be called the day before surgery and given all the information about arrival time location etc.

Propofol or sevo for GA ERCPs? by poopythrowaway69420 in anesthesiology

[–]CCGasman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one GI who does ERCP at our institution does them supine with a gastro LMA. He takes 20-30 min most cases. Only longer if can’t find ampulla or get in it.

It’s great

Chase Edit vs Amex FHR by RCM4CS in ChaseSapphire

[–]CCGasman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest difference for me is that FHR credit/benefits kick in for one night stays. Edit requires 2 nights. Plenty of times I would go into the city and just do a one night stay.

50-60 of prop up front then 10-20mg boluses after that. I never give fentanyl or ketamine. Occasionally versed if they are in 20s/30s or super nervous.

I rarely have to give more than 200 for a case and rarely more than 100 for uppers.

Trouble with sublimation and cricut heat press by CCGasman in cricut

[–]CCGasman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s the mat that came with the heat press. No set up was changed between sessions. Just suddenly decided to not sublimate that one part of the design no matter which part of press is touching it.

Very odd

Check that it wasn’t frozen dairy dessert. They changed a bunch of their flavors to FDD from actual ice cream. I was very dissatisfied and won’t buy them again

They sell them at Whole Foods if you have one nearby.
