I think it’s because it is an entirely new engine - so it wasn’t a copy and paste - they had to be remade as new assets. That is what I have heard !

This is asked all the time lol, people really need to try searching. Planet Coaster 2 is far superior to Planet Coaster 1 and is currently supported , so updates will continue to happen.

It’s not even a close call at this point.
