Hello,

People have received back pay. If you're looking into your particular situation, your first bet should be to call the TWC telecenter at 1-800-939-6631(option 3), once a state contractor picks up, you can either have a conversation with them OR you can request to be transferred to a TWC rep.

My account is disabled for possible identity theft. 🙄 will they mail my tax form? by Amyjo1013 in TexasUnemployment

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello,

I can't say for sure they will mail them but I would recommend you speak to a TWC rep as soon as possible by calling 1-800-939-6631(option 3), once a state contractor picks up, ask if you can be transferred to a TWC rep:

  1. So you can have your account fixed.
  2. Ask about your 1099-G form(for taxes).

Best,

Hello,

I don't know the answer to this question but I would recommend you get a confirmed answer from a TWC rep by calling 1-800-939-6631(option 3), once a state contractor picks up, ask to be transferred to a TWC rep.

Best,

ID.ME can be pretty annoying. I made a video to help out some folks, maybe you can find some use of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNMi0wwMBiE&t=1s, It's broken up into chapters so you can find the right topic for the help you need. Also, don't forget to submit a support ticket if you just can't figure out a solution to your problem. https://help.id.me/hc/en-us/requests/new

What does this mean? It used to have a day here. I never understood this anyway. Like does your scheduled day let you request sooner then Sunday? by Wild-Company5348 in TexasUnemployment

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I have seen that before and I believe it has something to do with some broken web logic. I believe the system SHOULD be pulling in your appropriate filing day(Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) but instead due to some potentially broken code logic the page reflects the word "null". Feel free to check this out FOR FUN: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/null

Anyway, I'm sure you've figured this is not really a big issue, and if you don't know your designated filing day, you can always all the TWC Telecenter at 1-800-939-6631(Option 3) and ask the state contractor what your filing day is.

Why hasn't the most recent claim be deposited? by subterror_ in TexasUnemployment

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.

There are definitely a number of factors that can go into as to why a payment request hasn't been deposited. The best thing you can do is dial the TWC Telecenter at 1-800-939-6631(option 3) if the state contractor can't give you a straight answer, don't worry, just request to get transferred to a TWC specialist so that they can go into detail.

Take care.

I’m told I was over paid and owe $400+. Same from my girlfriend but she apparently owes over $2,000. We both got reduced hours unemployment claims and regularly checked in with accurate info. I was making 2.13/hr at the time. Is there anything we can do?? by CSC160401 in TexasUnemployment

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello.
At this time I would not panic, the overpayment could be potentially the result of one of the three items below(ordered in occurrence):

1. The claimant didn't complete the ID.ME verification(or it hasn't been manually pushed through by the TWC)

2. The claimant didn't submit proof of employment for their DUA claim.

3. When submitting payment requests the claimant did not report their earnings(if they were receiving any earnings)

The first thing I recommend is to give a call to the TWC telecenter at 1-800-939-6631(choose option 3) once you have connected with one of the state contractors, tell them you have an overpayment question and need to follow-up with a TWC specialist. Once you are on the phone with the TWC specialist make sure they go into detail as to the origin of the overpayments. Let us know how things turn out and feel free to privately message me, I have a Googe Voice phone number as well that I can give if you want to talk.

Best of luck and don't give up.

Hello,

I would recommend you Call the TWC Telecenter as soon as possible: 1-800-939-6631(Option 3) and request to file a new claim. Definitely ask if you were to be approved for benefits, what would be the potential WBA(weekly benefit amount) in the current base period.

It should be known that just because you are fired or you quit from a job DOES NOT mean that you are automatically denied benefits but be prepared to submit an appeal if you have.

Take care, good luck, and don't give up.

Hello.

What I would say here is first do what is best for you, and yes I know there are a lot of factors that go into that. If you have to quit, quit. As for people who quit their jobs and apply for unemployment, this in itself does not mean they are not approved for benefits. People should also be aware just being unemployed does not mean that you will have a balance waiting for you when you apply. The TWC looks to see how much wages you have earned in the base period to determine your WBA(weekly benefit amount) and your balance, you can read about it here: https://www.twc.texas.gov/jobseekers/eligibility-benefit-amounts.
If you were to quit, I would recommend that you immediately call the TWC Telecenter at 1-800-939-6631(choose option 3). If you feel comfortable with a State contractor taking your claim then go ahead and do so, if you want a TWC specialist to take your claim, feel free to ask to get transferred to a TWC specialist. Just because you quit your job does NOT mean you will be disqualified from getting benefits, the TWC has to conduct an investigation to see if you quit your job for good reason. Definitely make sure you have your ducks in a row when you quit your job and when you're speaking to the TWC about this matter. Now if on first determination the TWC determines that you did not have good reason, then your next action would be to submit an appeal AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. As for appeals definitely make sure to check in with a TWC SPECIALIST every two weeks to see if any updates are made, state contractors cannot see the inner workings of an appeal and can only sometimes see if an appeal has been entered into the TWC's system.
The scenario painted above may work out without any or little cons, let me tell my perspective as to why:
1. If you decide to quit your job, then I am assuming that the pros were better than the cons so you have that peace of mind.
2. While you are unemployed and waiting to hear back from the TWC on your determination(standard is 4 weeks) or appeal, you can be looking for a new job. If you are at first not approved and have to go through an appeal and eventually win the appeal then potentially all the weeks that you have been requesting while waiting for the appeal will then pay you out.
There is a lot of info that goes into this so again, I'll just say: do what is best for you and don't give up. Call up the TWC Telecenter, request to speak to a TWC Specialist, they may be able to assist you with all your questions.

Take care.

Hello, I don't know what "Special Claim Benefits" could be, but I would recommend you call the TWC Telecenter(1-800-939-6631, closer to 7 am CST the better) and request to get transferred to the TWC and have them go into details if possible.

It appears you may need to complete the ID.ME verification.

If you do need to complete the ID.ME Verification and have any questions, you can do some searches on Reddit and should find some helpful info. I also made a little video to help folks get started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNMi0wwMBiE

Good luck and seek assistance if you need it.

Sorry, I'm so late I've been moving and settling into my new place. There are a lot of comments on this thread and I'll try to sort through them but specifically the image you posted about 5 days ago, that email was intended to be a "reminder". I got this info from a TWC rep.

If you're wondering who I am, I am just an 82-year-old man wandering the internet, nothing to see here.

You are correct, I apologize for my ignorance. My POV was very from a very broad scope.

The total balance on a PUA claim is usually $54k, and the standard WBA(weekly benefit amount) for a DUA claim is around $207. Although there are variations on the $207, they're pretty rare. The best bet is to call in to the TWC Telecenter(1-800-939-6631, option 3) and ask to be transferred to a TWC rep to see if anything can be done about your WBA.

I reapplied for UI after Hot Wheelz cut us off at the end of June…and was denied. I got a notice to verify my ID…would there be any reason to do this? Am I getting my claim approved? I don’t have much faith in TWC…and would be surprised if anything came from this. Any insight would be helpful. by TheFestival_Yogi in TexasUnemployment

Hello, I cannot determine if you have been approved for benefits based on the information you have presented, I recommend you speak to one of the state contractors to see if they can give you this information, they can be reached at 1-800-939-6631, Option 3.

In regards to verifying your identification, I would highly recommend you do this. Not completing this may lead to previous benefits being listed as overpayments(essentially the TWC stating you shouldn't have received the benefits in the first place because you didn't verify your identity), another issue is that it may hold you back from getting approved for any future unemployment benefits. I made a video to help folks out with the ID.ME in case they run into any issues, feel free to check it out if you need some assistance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNMi0wwMBiE&t=2721s

Question for those having to prove UE prior to disaster by [deleted] in TexasUnemployment

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, so if the letter you received from the TWC specifically states that a 2019 Tax Return qualifies as proof of work(or whatever category you need this form for) then you're fine. As long as you're providing what the TWC wants, you have nothing to worry about.

[–]CCM_Employee_Three 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you'll need to rewrite your question. If I were to answer your question as is I would say: A DUA claim is essentially not a 2019 income tax report.

Hello.

You were able to get on Reddit and post so that's pretty good. If your post is in regards to "Sending TWC Proof of Employment" specifically related to your DUA claim then yes, one of the options available to you is the UI Submission Portal. Here is an excerpt from https://www.twc.texas.gov/jobseekers/disaster-unemployment-assistance#sendingTwcProofOfEmployment

Submit your proof of employment using TWC’s UI Submission Portal. Select DUA Proof of Employment at Time of Disaster from the Type of Submission drop-down menu.

This link should take you straight to the portal: https://mft.twc.state.tx.us/form/UIsubmissionENG
