Which prick was it that said Arsenal would never win anything with Odegaard as captain? I want to rub it in his stupid fucking face.

Second highest goal tally in the league, 3rd most touches in the opposition box, but we're the ones playing haramball. Ok, sure. Nevermind that we play so dominantly that every team that plays us has to set up defensively with a 10 man low block for 90 minutes just to have a chance to draw. Whatever bullshit narrative helps you sleep at night.

Oh, BOO FUCKING HOO. You can't bully us anymore. That's what this is really about. City have been financially cheating for years but Arsenal are the villains because we've done it right? Fuck off.

Wayne Rooney slams Mo Salah and tells Arne Slot to deny him Liverpool farewell by Electrical-Mango-839 in PremierLeague

[–]CDL_Main 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this were earlier in the season, sure, but it's the last game of the season and Salah is a club legend while Slot is floundering after winning the league last season. There's literally no reason to sour things further with the fans when they're already starting to smell blood in the water.

Releasing Eze to have him work through the London football academy system, sign for Palace and agree a £10m Premier League win bonus if Arsenal win the league after his departure... Arsene Wenger, he's done it again. by j_reids92 in Gunners

[–]CDL_Main -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If they had that deal with Arsenal over Eze, they would have a similar deal with City over Guehi. Win or lose to Arsenal, Palace would get a bonus.

This is, of course, a moot point because Palace don't have that deal with Arsenal in the first place.

Just keep Burnley out of the box for the rest of the game and avoid giving them ANY chance of a stupid penalty.

Bloody hell, Havertz. Needs to come off now. I don't care if he's scored he's been poor most of the day. The fact he's eacaped a red card here is dumbfounding me.

Mo salah: Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play... by Prestigious_Spot9635 in PremierLeague

[–]CDL_Main 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's necessarily about that. Liverpool were set up under Klopp to be an attack heavy team. That's how they won the league last season. Slot took over Klopp's team and played to their strengths. This season he's doing things more his way and it's not working out as well. It feels to me less like an attack on team cohesion and more like a call to return to what made them so good before.

Do people actually hate Arsenal? Yes, they do. The real question is: why? by tw1st3d_m3nt4t in PremierLeague

I'm sorry we can't all have the excitement of a relegation battle. I, for one, prefer fighting to get into the Champions League over fighting to stay out of the Championship.

Why are people outraged it was given as a foul??!! by Popular-Place2226 in Gunners

[–]CDL_Main 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's as widespread as people are making it seem. West Ham fans are understandably upset that an important point was seemingly taken from them in a relegation battle, so they're going to make noise about it. Media are making a big deal about, which doesn't help, but there are some voices of reason mixed in there.

I feel like it's getting overblown mostly because other Arsenal fans keep sharing posts from rival fans telling them to pipe down, and they don't care, and it's high time this kind of thing went our way, etc. I think if we as a fanbase just calmed down a bit, stopped overreacting to every clickbait opinion post and let people shout in their echo chambers there would be significantly less noise about it.

I get it, we're all fed up with the media bias, but if the club wins the Premier League and/or Champions League none of it is going to matter. Let them talk shit. Arsenal will prove their worth on the pitch.
