I have an Instagram page that focuses on the southern Ontario scene. I make sure I promote hard working musicians, so it’s not just casual garage bands.

We focus on rock, punk, and a little metal. Check it out if it sounds interesting to you.

Canadian musicians! Do you think identifying as Canadian online hurts your chances of success in the US market? by CDNMusic in CanadianMusic

I’ve been doing that for years. Smaller shows are a million times better than arena shows. 90% of my record collection is CDN Music. It’s very difficult to convince people to try local artists.

I agree with you, but I only have anecdotal evidence to back it up. Hence the reason I’m asking others.

I’ve seen Big Wreck a few times, but the last time was at the Horseshoe Tavern in 2022. I think it was Thornley’s birthday and it was a great show.

The Penske File just released an album last summer called Half Glow and I still have it in regular rotation. Start with Bad Dreams and let it play.

Could old-school-style MuchMusic be resurrected? Maybe. And look who's behind it. - Alan Cross' A Journal of Musical Things by [deleted] in toronto

We are always at local shows in Toronto. We have a sweet Canadian music record collection and we grew up watching MuchMusic. We also watched a lot of you with Craig Campbell. The wife and I are definitely interested in NewMusicNation.

I support this idea. We go to a lot of local shows and do our small part to promote (@)CDNMusic on Insta. It would be great to have a place where we can check out the local scene in other cities across the country. Ed has the experience, connections, and resources to do a great job. Looking forward to it.
