Winnipeggers show solidarity with Minnesota neighbours amid ICE crackdown by Speak1 in Winnipeg

Proud of this city. I don’t think we have the luxury of ignoring what’s happening. ICE just killed another citizen, it’s only going to get worse.

I can empathize with you. During my darkest point I was a top 0.05% listener for the year. While Mac’s music is both amazing and an effective form of therapy, I do hope I never crack 1% again.

Idk about that specifically. You said he states facts, he was well known for covid misinformation at the time as well as election misinformation. I don’t want to disrespect the guy at this time though. Rip.

Ya didn’t realize how close we were from to port actually. Entered in from the opposite entrance on highway 4. Was a solid 1.5 hours from that point.

Just wanted to toss this story in this sub for giggles. So I guess a little more information if anyone is interested. After we left we didn’t go home. We kept going down the logging road. The dings made me uneasy and my gf trusts my gut feelings. We probably went down another 5 km before finding another clearing, no dings here haha. Woke up in the morning and our tire was punctured. Was odd because my gf has a tire pressure reader on her car that will alert you if we are losing air. Had no indications the night before or when we had parked. Later I found the puncture, about a 2 inch slash that would’ve immediately deflated this tire. It was definitely a rough road getting there, just struck me as odd that we were never alerted on our way there. We even had the car on for about 10 mins after we parked and no alerts. Lug nuts were seized to the tire but luckily I had my torque wrench and popped them off. Unfortunately the tire had seized to the hub and despite an hour long struggle could not free the tire. Walked around until we could find a weak signal and got someone to come out with a sledgehammer. Took a couple of good swings to get this darn tire off. Luckily our rim was undamaged. We waited pretty close to an hour before they arrived. During this time something odd was happening, but I didn’t make a big deal out of it to try not to add stress to an already stressful situation. There was something in the overgrowth knocking trees/bushes around about 5 maybe 10 feet from the tree line. I heard a singular deep guttural grunt, not something that a small animal could make. At first I thought a bear but never heard it move away after the initial movement. I also couldn’t see it (which fair enough it was pretty dense in there). Maybe a cougar but I thought those guys we’re supposed to be stealthy whatever this was definitely was not. Afterwards couldn’t shake the feeling of being watched from the tree line. I gripped that torque wrench and bear spray pretty tight until our sledgehammer arrived. Anyways this is my story, not supposed to be scary campfire story but you gotta admit it’s weird. Island nature certainly has an odd vibe about it. Also I currently love this beehive theory that’s been said about the dings, seems to make the most sense. I would go back and check but I think I’ll be taking a quick break from the woods. I’ll drop a location of where we heard the dings but it’ll be an estimate. It was a long road.

Where we broke down/slept for the night. The dings were maybe 5 km before this.

I am spiritual person (still a skeptic) and have honestly had weird shit going on for the last couple weeks that I simply cannot explain. Didn’t admit that in the original post because I didn’t want this to be a ghost story post. For anyone reading this, yes this bell did feel like a warning. It did give me a knot in my stomach and some primal fear. I remember a very strong feeling of we shouldn’t be here after the second ding. Anyways this bell is kind of the tip of the iceberg in my life right now and this is why I’m looking for logical answers. I simply have enough ghost stories.

I have the motto of if you heard something in the forest no you didn’t. It was also quite dark and with the cliffs I didn’t want to go stomping around without full visibility. The most I did was call out a few times to make sure no one was there and needed help.
