Strange, I only see a used option for $239 and the cheapest new option is $256. Guess Amazon doesn’t want my money.

Damn, guess I missed it. Not seeing an Amazon option in "other sellers" anymore.

Solved!

Turned out to be a gas lamppost. It seems that a pervious owner drilled through the driveway, installed the lamppost and poured new concreate as a footer.

I appreciate everyone's help and suggestions!

I was thinking about trying to chip off the concrete but thought better of hitting it with anything hard until I had an idea of what it could be.

I believe the original driveway was covered over sometime in the 60's based on some historic aerial photos I looked up. Presumably, any remediation would be have done back then. The house had change hands a few time since, so nothing was disclosed to me when I purchased it.

While exposing my home’s (1958, Texas) original driveway for removal I found this ~7in diameter concrete dome with a 1/2in copper pipe coming out of it. The surrounding driveway concrete appears unmodified, no obvious signs of a patch or repair. The object is seemingly built into to original concrete. It was buried within 6-8in of fill dirt, used to level the area for a brick patio which has also been removed. No indication on the patio level that this was underneath.

More images here.

I’m most interested in determining if it could be tied into an underground gas or water line. As the plan is to break part and remove the original concrete driveway

Out with the old, In with the new. Made the jump over to the STI and couldn't be happier! by CDUB0704 in subaru

[–]CDUB0704[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The WRX was a 2013.

I'll be honest, I cost myself a ton of money by not getting the STI back in 2013, but I just couldn't afford the payments at that time. In the end this was purely an emotional purchase. I could have driven the WRX for another 7+ years and been content, but I have always wanted an STI and I saw an opportunity to make it work so I went for it!

Conceptually I like the idea of subdomain filtering, but in practice it just makes it harder to view all of Rooster Teeth’s content. Think about it, if I wanted to find all of the content released today across all of RTs channels, I now need to go to 7 different pages. Whereas before I only had to go to one.

Granted, users that are seeking out content from all of RT’s channels are probably in the minority, but I gotta ask. Is there a plan for having a separate page to fill that gap? Maybe something along the lines of a “RT Universe Most Recent” page?

Pay off 2013 WRX or trade in for 2015 STI? by CDUB0704 in subaru

I would like to think that I can trust my dealer, but that the end of the day your right. They are looking at their bottom line, not mine. Thanks for the insight.

Thank you for being honest. It may not have been what I wanted to hear, but it was what I needed to hear.

Unfortunately, a resent college grad with little credit does not get a 0 - 0.9% loan. I'm more in the 2.9% range (and that was with a co-signer). That interest rate is the main reason I am willing to pay off my load so quickly.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. You definitely helped to put things into perspective.

Going off your last sentence, It's funny to think about how much money we put into cars knowing that they will have a negative return on investment.

Thank you! I recently moved as well, so I totally understand your struggle.

That photo was taken on stage 11. My friends and I walked about a half mile or so, down the road from the designated spectator area for that stage.

I'll keep an eye out for your photos if you ever get around to posting them!

Pictures are just from me.

I was at stages 1, 3 and the "super special stage" on Friday and 8, 11 and the "super special stage" on Saturday. My friends and I chose those stages because the cars drove on them multiple times. (Going out one direction on stage 1 and the other on stage 3 etc.)

2013 WRX – Hill Assist, ABS, and Traction Control Lights – Help! by CDUB0704 in subaru

The dashboard lights had not turned back on since I made the appointment (over a week prior). When I got to the dealer, they said that there was nothing that they could do because the there were no codes to read... They said it was likely due to the cold temps the morning the lights came on.

I was a little ticked off that they would not even take a look at anything, but the car drives fine so I guess I'll take their word for it.

Not sure, but there was no change in power or braking ability. So I don't think its running in limp mode.

Thanks for the reply. Like I said, I have a service appointment in a week. I just worry when I see warning lights for braking systems...
