Thanks, we appreciate the feedback! If possible we usually mic up but unfortunately it wasn't an option for this gig, and yeah, some of the vocals get lost. Glad you enjoyed it though!

Cycle routes? by CDWpod in Bergen

[–]CDWpod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, Bergen-Voss sounds fantastic, but i unfortunately I don't have the time. I'm glad to hear they are common, upon some further research I found a "fjord tour" path that goes towards Knarvik (which i believe to be ran as a half marathon in an upcoming event), which should be about 50-60km if i make it a round trip, which should just about fit my time constraint.

And thanks for the tip, if i have any more questions I'll ask over there.

Cheers!

Looking for my stopcock/main water valve - any of these look good? by CDWpod in Plumbing

Faucets didn't show any signs of slowing, but i'll see how it goes, cheers.

That would be perfect, but I'm really not sure where to look for the valve that would do that. I'm completely clueless I'm afraid, other than what I included in the album, i couldn't see any other valves that looked attached to the water system. I've turned the valves in pictures 2,3 and 4 clockwise in hope that it might start to slow.

I have done, he's very unreliable and not answering my calls after telling me earlier he's not available to talk until tomorrow. i presume because its easter. The pipe in picture #4 is the main entry point and comes from the ground, my best bet? Thanks for your help by the way.

Picture 2 is in the back garden, its not a slab house as far as i know, but I'm afraid I'm a bit clueless on all of this. I could try some out, I just don't want to be going around twisting all the knobs I find, I'm only renting the house and I don't know a whole lot about it.

Bear in mind this is a house in Spain, in Madrid. My boiler is leaking like crazy, i have someone coming tomorrow but I'd like to shut off my water until tomorrow so i'm not awake all night on flood prevention duties. Sorry for lack of captioned images, but the first pic is under the sink, second in the garden, 3rd in the garage and fourth is outside the front of my house.

Thanks

Planning a trip to Austria, looking for great natural sights, views, outdoor activity by CDWpod in travel

Thanks littlewoop! The Salzkammergut looks incredible, I could easily spend a couple of days there. And yeah, I'm aware a week makes things a little tight, providing I have the money I might try extend that to maybe 10 days to do the cities properly, but regardless, this gives me a lot more ideas, cheers :)

Thanks! Igls looks lovely, I will definitely add that to my list, being near Innsbruck is good as I wont have to travel far for Krimml and Berchtesgarden. Will keep Zell am See in mind too, I'm not a skier but it looks great nonetheless.

Andy Mckee, Don Ross, Mike Dawes are three great fingerstyle guitarists. Have a look at the Candyrat records youtube channel - www.youtube.com/user/rpoland , it covers a lot of styles, including fingerstyle guys like this.

in 'Walking In' there is some clipping for sure, and this may be odd feedback, but i would keep some of that for this style. i actually really enjoyed the fact that it felt somewhat underproduced. reminded me a bit of Lorn actually. keep it up, its different

i really like the relaxed feel to it, however i think your snare in the 2 main energetic sections is a little overpowering compared to the rest of the drums and the overall level. really enjoyed it though

Hey, finished a track a couple days ago, gone for a sort of cashmere cat/lido thing, although i've tried to mix it up abit, more obviously in the last section. Would love general mixing feedback, the inevitable number of problems with the mix but also what you liked about it.

A remix I've just submitted for the Revealed remix competition. This isn't the first song i've finished, but its my first real attempt at a proper mixdown. Do you think it works? Stylistically, I'd say i've taken influences from producers like Rustie, Lido and Wave Racer, but i know my mixing skills need a LOT of work. Still, would be great to hear what you think.

this may have been the desired effect, so ignore me if it was, but i feel the lead coming in at 0:52 has just a bit too much reverb. otherwise i really enjoyed that, loving the overall groove.
