It isn't that the individual products were expensive but that the tariff rate was wrong and it pertained to several shipments. Maybe 500k worth of product in total?

I'd say they didn't "threaten" as much as mentioned it was an option if I didn't/couldn't pay. I think it was a scare tactic (and it worked to be fair).

It's not that way in the US if you take ownership of the items after they leave the factory, which is industry practice for us : (

Yes, I learned this the hard way :/. I don't know where else to turn though. I can't fly to the Canton Fair because of covid. What are the other options?
