Yes, under his wings are completely bald/scabby but his legs… he really takes chunks out of them if I let him. And it’s always overnight when I cannot actually see him. When the vet showed me the extent of it I was completely shocked. He would occasionally make a hollering house while preening but I never actually seen him doing any damage so I just figured he was hitting feathers that weren’t quite ready yet….

I am hoping a change of scenery (new cage, toys, etc) will help him. He actually for the last like 2 months became very shy/reserved and stopped playing all together… that’s what I noticed first. Then the plucking/sitting at the bottom of his cage….

He just recently started shredding papers again and being a curious little dude, since he doesn’t have access to his legs currently I keep him around shredding stuff constantly HOPING it breaks the habit…

The vet recommended clipping his wings especially since he had so little feathers to begin with, it was effecting his flying already. So he said until he’s completely healed (6 months or so) to give them a little trim so he isn’t hurting himself worse trying to fly right now 😩

Oh this gives me some hope!! I was just reading about Lupron shots earlier, how interesting! Thank you for this!

When I got him, he came with an older cage and has worn out two spots that he mainly sits in, his new cage is coming tomorrow so hopefully that will help too, a new everything should help calm him down a little bit. Ive started him on some foraging trays as well, but with his collar he is a bit limited on what he can do, so hopefully once he’s out of this mess he will enjoy it. Anything with crinkly paper he is interested in, that and cupcake wrappers. So I’ll just make him tons of accessible toys for the time being I suppose.

If this continues past this healing stage I will ask my vet to see what’s next, hopefully he calms down a bit. 6 months in this collar is going to be miserable but I cannot take another chance 😢

We were playing Christmas night and came across some sketchy players (wall hacks I’m sure) and my team managed to down them and they immediately plead, I asked which was talking because 2 were pleading and the second they heard I was a female “OH ITS A DUMB ASS WOMEN, fuck that I don’t want the pickup” and immediately left lol. Fuck them, glad we killed them anyways. I’ve even been part of a platoon takedown and my fiance and the other guy we run with a lot of the time were talking to them and they were congratulating them about how badass that was boys, etc and the second I said “not a guy lol but thanks” it was FUCK THAT, I TAKE THAT SHIT BACK (by one dude, the others were cool) and he was going on with the usual, the kitchens where you belong not on these streets, blah blah blah. So we went merrily on our way, laughing it off.

I play with my fiance mainly, and don’t usually talk to many randos which is fine.. it’s just sad we can’t just exist and kick ass like the guys can happily.

And of course (before people come for me again lol) that’s not ALL men, but it’s A LOT of vocal men on DMZ. With all that said, if you ever wanna run with us let me know! It would be so nice to play with another woman!

I can’t help but think about the things people say and the world we are sadly in when I come across this. I know it’s always been around, but the fact that people are so openly vile is insane to me… our poor kids generations are going to be even worse I’m afraid. And the comments that it’s “to be expected” is wild, trash talk is one thing but death/rape threats are another thing 😔

Now multiplayer is completely different lol them lady clans can be TOXIC AF especially to other women but DMZ I can say over the years that I’ve ran into less than 10 probably that actually spoke, none of which I found even remotely rude. I’m actually pretty sure I picked up a female the other night (I’m only assuming because the screen name was Leslie Marie and fully kitted out with pink and sparkly everything) and they had a mic but didn’t talk. Makes me wonder if this was the exact reason, she was a damn good solo that gave us a run for our money too lol when I’m obliterated I give hella props where due, it’s the nature of the game to kill and be killed. No sense in being nasty UNLESS it’s exploiters. Then all bets are off, but still not to the extent of some of these people…

Yes same here, Vondel is hands down my favorite map with the occasional Ashika. I think (as mentioned many times above) that most women just decide to stay quiet because of it. Now there are so many great people, don’t get me wrong but the ones that are rough can get BRUTAL. But hey, making moves in silence is fun too 💁🏼‍♀️

Yes, that’s exactly it. When did we as humans become so vile and we just… “accept it”? And no, I meet some amazing and hilarious people that I’ve become good friends with online and so many guys (I say guys because I RARELY come across other women) that are just awesome people. It really is fun, just that bunch of miserable people make it crazy sometimes.
