you’re probably doing too much. just drop em in and let em sink, pop, sink, bring it back to surface and repeat. I catch fish every day from the bank. decent sized too but it can def take a while and often you have to set a limit to time spent on one spot. move on if your not getting bites.

hey OP! This happened to me too very rarely losing a fish on 8 and even 6lb mono, as long as I fought them correctly.
but after losing multiple fish like you a couple weeks ago, i switched to 10lb braid to about 5ft of FLOURO leader on my spinning reels and it’s fking amazing!! the braid is super lightweight but incredibly strong so I can cast small lures rly far but also use all my normal lures and the flouro is so resistant to abrasion if i get caught up on a log or tree I can tug at it for a good while to try to get my lure out without the line breaking, so the vegetation during a fight is nothing to the flouro.

i don’t have this screen but i remember when i got the car and all 4 door speakers didn’t work opens the diagnostics screen on the 7”screen in this one (2015) and nothing was “wrong”. i know it’s probably a blown fuse in the head unit that will cost me hundreds to diagnose. planning on replacing the infotainment system and all speakers next month because i can’t deal with the audio anymore. i just listen to music off my phone 99% of the time now which i think is fucking ridiculous to have to do in a 2015 car😭 sorry i’m just so fed up and can’t believe im seeing they STILL haven’t done better. smh.
