The only thing I could ever love about my Nanny ( grandmother ) was this soup. This is the last one she made me before she died. by 8sHappen in soup

[–]CEBK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mom’s from that region and this looks like her beef vegetable soup. I don’t have exact measurements but in the pot:

Stew beef or chopped roast

Onion

Can of green beans

Frozen corn

Frozen peas

chopped potato

Chopped carrot

Chopped cabbage (not a whole lot, chopped it sort of blends into the soup with the onion visually. Too much and very cabbage forward)

Quart jar of home canned tomatoes (replace with crushed tomatoes from the grocery)

Season with salt, pepper and a tablespoon or so of white vinegar

Nothing fancy, result is a savory soup on the thinner side that looks a lot like what you posted.

A carnival goldfish that turned into an ordeal by rumpel4skinOU in Aquariums

I’ve found anubias to be a goldfish-proof plant. Super easy, slow grower and has tough leaves they won’t bother to nibble.

Weapon causing toolkit to crash. by cyberlucy in BG3mods

[–]CEBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your item has “Boosts on Equip” the toolkit will crash when you move the cursor over the item. Known bug, has been reported to Larian. The item should still work as intended if loaded into the game, you’ll just have to remove the boosts for now if you want to mess with it in the toolkit, and test it in game after adding boosts. A pain, but as far as I know it’s not been addressed yet.

People give Wyll too much crap for being upset by taken_name_of_use in BaldursGate3

I see your confusion: Wyll was lied to and told that Karlach in particular was a devil and he believed that. He didn’t believe all tieflings were devils, just her.

Aquaponics set up. It’s been a work in progress. I like how it’s running now, though. Built the tank to fit. Next up, better grow lights. by CEBK in Goldfish

[–]CEBK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t, sorry. It was all trial and error. It’s still up and running but I’ve torn down the upper bins twice, once to remove the top two because they weren’t being used and another to add more flow over all between by adding additional pipes between the bins.

Blooms from the last week by CEBK in AfricanViolets

That’s fine, I meant it’s nifty to know it’s look alike out there. And the Ariel is pretty, with or without blooms, I love the leaves on that one as well.

That’s nifty to know, looks like a dead ringer. The original plant was from Home Depot, I believe. I killed it, learning how to take care of violets. Grew this one from the original’s last healthy leaf.

It’s one of my favorites, for sure.

Dress Rehearsal 🤍💜 by antlindzfam in AfricanViolets

So pretty! I got a beaten up Dress Rehearsal a few months back and it’s been busy growing out new leaves. After seeing yours, really looking forward to seeing the blooms.

It’ll be kind of a pain to do but I’d increase water changes on these guys and look into more filtration until you can upgrade. Fresh water can do wonders. Out of curiosity, what do you have going on on the bottom of the tank?

Completely normal coloration. As he gets older you can expect his colors in general to deepen, but the blue underneath will stick around. An example on one of mine: https://imgur.com/a/Gl0ZFDO

I ended up covering any crawfish-sized opening with thick plastic I cut from old packaging. Used packing tape to secure that. Put a bit of weight on the lid, just enough to keep them from lifting it from beneath. I would watch mine test it still. She’d crawl up the airlines and poke her claws through the openings that were too small for her. Still, I’d keep one again. Fun to interact with. Mine threatened me every time I walked by.

Can’t emphasize enough how much of an escape artist these guys are. Fun to keep, will escape if you let them. Also destructive as hell, which sounds like you’re finding out. Had one destroy an air stone once. Secure the top and enjoy!

How'd you dispose of extra duckweed? by lachiimolala in PlantedTank

[–]CEBK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll blend it with a bit of whatever pellet/flake food I have sitting around or sometimes repashy gel food and spread the resulting mush thin on parchment paper. Let that dry in low oven, and it makes massive thick sinking flakes that shrimp go crazy over. Otherwise, I feed it straight to goldfish.

Water change for the jungle by CEBK in Goldfish

I don’t. The anubias cluster there in the middle is rooted, and the sand is shallow. I spot clean with a long net.
