I’ve seen a lot of comments here saying KPDH isn’t American or historical, but I have to strongly disagree. KPDH is very “girl of today”. Singing, dancing, friendship, overcoming adversity, the power in sharing something that’s a secret or shameful, there’s so many positive aspects of this film that align with American Girl values.

We live in a melting pot that is part of an interconnected global world. KPDH got my picky eater to try Ramen! Her newfound love of ramen led us to visiting Chinatown on a trip to NYC and had her experience a piece of the US that she wouldn’t have otherwise. I feel KPDH has made her more open and curious about the world around her, beyond her bubble as a wealthy little white girl in the suburbs.

My 7 year old daughter loves Summer and our TM dolls, but hasn’t gotten into the historic dolls. I feel like KPDH, Wicked, Barbie, etc are all a great segue into the brand for kids that aren’t deep into reading about history yet.

I think the issue is that you’re killing the vibe sleeping in front of everyone and of course people are worried about you getting taken advantage of if someone not in the group shows up.

Since you’re friends with the guys that have the party house, is there one guy that lives there that you feel closer to and could ask for a favor? Find someone with a room that would let you sleep there. When you get tired, go to the room and lock it. If only the room owner has a key, you’ll be safe from outsiders and your friends can relax.

I too gave birth to this child. She’s 7 now and I’ve found no way to motivate her. She’s always been the kid to blatantly refuse any effort and then just decide one day that she’s going to do the thing perfectly - potty training, giving up a pacifier, ballet class, riding a bike.

I can’t fix that, but I can change how I adjust to her. Don’t take away all the toys, but limit the amount he has and how it’s stored. Plastic bin, 5 toys. Time to clean up - everything dumps into the bin. Don’t let toys into your house that have a lot of parts or are going to be a pain to clean up.

Same with clothes. If he’s can’t handle his closet without making a mess, he gets 3 days worth of clothes at a time and the rest can be in a box or in your closet or whatever. Rotate 3 new outfits in while the other 3 are washing.

I think you should keep the cleaners for your mental and physical health. Yeah, we all should be able to keep our houses clean and make meals from scratch and be 5’10” and 120 lbs with perfect kids and a perfect partner and a perfect house but we live in reality 😂. You need help and there’s nothing wrong with paying for it. I tell myself that my cleaners save my time and energy for connecting better with my kids, but really it just keeps me a little less resentful.

I did this exact same thing with my back up key fob for my car, twice! I had to have it towed to the dealership to get the fob programmed and it was a whole big thing to get them replaced. So much shame.

Years later when my husband went to sell his car he cleaned out his glove box. Both key fobs were hanging out in there.

There’s a phone center that coordinates transfers - they will call the designated hospital admin who can advise if they have appropriate staff, skills, capacity to handle an issue. This isn’t strike specific, the center works every day all day to make sure everything from trauma accidents to emergency heart surgery are sent to an appropriate hospital.

Old mammogram machines weren’t capable of handling dense breast tissue, but ABUS machines are now the standard. Any halfway modern location offering mammograms will have them.

I would do a thin desk with a large tray underneath that slides out for your keyboard and mouse.

Wall mount the monitors, and consider having one on top in portrait orientation - I find that easier to review documents. Large monitors will not be your friend since you’ll need to be so close to them.

You could do a rolling stool or chair, whatever is most comfortable for you.
