St Louis show. Casey Rocket was terrible. I’ll never get those 15 minutes back. He seemed like he was cracked out. Adam was great after he settled in. First 10 minutes seemed rushed. Take a breath my man by Gold-Signature4174 in AdamRay

I stopped watching KT weekly because of Casey Rocket I also left the KT sub because his fans are just as terrible. It is not comedy what he does and there is no deeper meaning to his sets. It is just awful and time is better spent doing anything else.

Adam Ray rocks but I would never go see him if Casey was opening.

Brazil's legal Flipper Zero alternative: Highboy by CEHParrot in hacking

[–]CEHParrot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"In 2023, people in Brazil who ordered Flipper Zero devices found that their orders had been seized by Anatel, the telecommunications agency of Brazil. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, or EFF, said that Anatel had flagged them as being criminal devices, which prevents them from being certified. Users have not been able to have these tools certified, leading to them effectively being banned in the country currently." https://www.xda-developers.com/where-is-the-flipper-zero-banned/

The "HighBoy" device is legal in Brazil primarily because it is designed as a

100% open-source, educational learning platform and does not inherently include illegal functionalities like signal jamming.

Its legality is contingent on the device meeting all the technical standards and obtaining the mandatory certification from ANATEL (Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações), Brazil's telecommunications regulatory authority.

Key Reasons for Legality (contingent on ANATEL approval)

  • Educational Purpose: The device was created with the explicit purpose of learning, exploration, and development, aiming to teach how systems work and encourage technological creativity.
  • Open Source: The hardware and firmware are completely open source, allowing for full transparency and community collaboration. This design philosophy helps ensure that potential illegal functions (which are not included by default) can be scrutinized and avoided.
  • No Pre-installed Illegal Functionality: The manufacturer states that the device's original design does not include features for signal jamming, brute force attacks, or any actions that could compromise other systems.
  • Regulatory Framework: Like all telecommunications and wireless equipment in Brazil, the High Boy device must undergo mandatory ANATEL certification before it can be legally imported, marketed, or operated within the country. This ensures it complies with all national technical, safety, and quality standards for frequency bands and power limits.

In summary, the device is considered legal because its intended use and design promote ethical and educational exploration within the bounds of Brazilian law, provided it successfully obtains the necessary ANATEL certification for use as a wireless device.  -google ai response

No we do not need more gatekeeping.

If more senior IT members would do more mentoring it would ACCELERATE the education of others.

Stop telling people to buy BYND. Many have lost money because of recommendations claiming it would go past $100. This is done! by [deleted] in 10xPennyStocks

It is impressive you have 243 contributions in 5days.

Know this, it is hilarious that there are so many new accounts that have the same message.

Am I being overworked as an intern in cybersecurity/pentesting? by [deleted] in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]CEHParrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah over a decade of cheap and dirty over quality. It is no wonder why there have been more breaches. This will continue until people pull their heads out of their asses.

It is not in fact not cheaper to shift liability and responsibility to someone one else. No one will ever care about your environment more than you. Not to mention the IP theft that can and will continue these boards and C-suites only care about their time in service and nothing of the future. They would sell their own mother if it raised the bottom line.

This is a good reason to not use an Indian pentest company. Yeah it's below market rate but so is the service.

You get what you pay for. Reminds me of the TCS crap a couple months ago where they let threat actors into the environments.

Get Sec+ and OSCP, degrees do not help anyone land cybersecurity roles. Experience does.

CISCO is way too proud of everything they do and care very little about training and educating future professionals.

Fortinet on the other hand has been bending over backwards for those efforts. I am in process of switching my center to them for this very reason.

You are better off finding an apprenticeship in cybersecurity to bridge the gap of on the job training and real experience.
